Terrible product. Cracked on first use and bits fell off it with each subsequent use. The only good thing was the prompt response and refund from the seller.

Cast iron as described (as opposed to some which are mild steel masquerading as cast iron). Looks robust and well manufactured. Fits perfectly in inglenook. I look forward to many warm and happy winter evenings by my refurbished fireside. In correspondence seller was most accommodating. Unfortunately purchasing experience was marred somewhat by sellers choice of courier. If asked I would advise seller to use any courier other than the totally incompetent Yodel.

A very sturdy grate. The best I have ever had in 30 odd years. I have delayed my review to see how it performed wth smokeless coal. Normally they start disintegrated quite quickly but this one is perfect.

Exactly what it says it is - strong, sturdy and neat. Fits the grate opening exactly. But beware, purchase a new ash pan AFTER buying the grate to avoid the problem of the rear legs sitting in the grate.Recommend this product most highly
