This squat bar is great to reduce back pain. The design causes the weight to be lower and forward compared to straight bars. That, combined with the handles, retains the bar on my shoulders enough to allow use of one arm to steady myself as I go down and up. Then I don't have to lean forward so much to stabilize, so less back stress. Also, when I use this for calf raises, the weight is far enough forward that I don't have to hold the bar at all - it just stays on. Now I can use my hands to steady myself against the squat rack. Sturdy construction for at least a couple hundred lbs, and I don't doubt 700lb rating, though I will never test it.

It's a great replica of an SSB for anyone who doesn't need to put more than 450lbs on it. I'm not close to that so, probably not testing it but it's great! Wanted an SSB for years and this bar made it possible. Saving my shoulders and my back! Build is sturdy, pad is snug and will not shift. handles don't shake at all. No issues and don't expect any. Love this bar!

I got the 1500lb bar so it’s 1 piece (minus the screw on handles). It’s an effective basic SSB if you only plan to use it occasionally and want to save some money. Knocks on it are the balancing compared to nicer bars. If you plan to use a SSB regularly, you may want to consider paying more for a better bar. In our case the main use is to be able to squat/lunge following an upper body surgery. It works fine for that because after a few months it’ll likely mostly serve as a dust collector. TL/DR- Good bar. Not great or crappy.

This bar will definitely help with older folks like me or people with shoulder mobility. Easily put together and works well. I only go light as I am 55 years old but feels sturdy. Note, make sure you use clamps or a collar as the bar is really slick( no tooth) and plates will easily slide off.

I wanted to get a trap bar that was easy to load and unload with weight. This is great for that. And the handles not being very high compensate for the extra inch or so that the bar is off the ground. I love the way it sits flat and it seems sturdy for only being 20 pounds and being bolted together.

I have a chronic shoulder problem and I can squat again!!! LOVE IT!!!!

I should have read more reviews. As other reviewers have noted, Vevor has a QC issue. They do not include the hardware, which is needed to use the bar. I notified them on 7/1/26 of the issue. Shared pictures, ASINs, model numbers, invoice, etc that same day. Several days later they emailed me a picture of the hardware. That's helpful. They asked if I needed anything else. Uh, yeah. The missing hardware that we've talking about. We are now 2 weeks since I notified them and the bar is just sitting on my gym floor, unable to be used. Vevor emailed me on the 12th saying they have the hardware and will send it in 1-2 days. Well, it has been 3 days and no movement. Embarrassing.

I bought this for my kids and it works great - the only thing that I get complains about is the handle as it is rough on the hands but nothing some lifting gloves cant fix. Other then that - its a great product - very sturdy - perfect size, and very easy to assemble.

If you are looking for a good, sturdy, functional safety squat barbell and you don't care for a fancy end cap or ceramic finish, this is the one for you. It has bronze bearings that spin smoothly, a rigid enough padding and comfortable handles. If you choose the 1500lbs one, you get a thicker bar that should prevent any bending. It was well packaged and arrived without any nicks or scratches.

I was initially a little hesitant after reading a review which mentioned poor balancing. However since using this item I have found it to feel great. The handles are positioned at a slight angle away from the bar which means depending on which way the bar is facing the weight will shift more towards the toes or heels. I have actually used it without hand support in both positions and it was fine, but shifting to the toes does make it feel more secure. All round it is a solid bar and good quality, I would certainly recommend.
