Works flawlessly. I have an 8GB internet connection and two Mac Studios with 10GB adapters. This shares the internet connection with them perfectly, giving each of them the maximum possible when they need it. It obviously doesn't turn my internet connection into a 16GB connection, but both of my computers can use the full 8GB connection when they need it. It shares the 8GB bandwidth between them on demand. It is quiet, has nice lights that flicker for the child inside me, and does what it is supposed to do. I'm happy with my purchase.

I received my unmanaged 8x10GbE switch in early November 2025. And have been using it for almost nine months now. I am currently using it in my network closet. And I use it to feed my 10GbE Backbone, on my home LAN. With a 10GbE input from my Asus BE-96U. And six of 10GbE ports go to my six, 2.5GbE switches, with 10GbE uplinks. That feed the 70+ wired devices on my home network. I am able to easily get 9.4Gbps speeds from any of the 10GbE ports. And I've had no issues with fan noise or heat from the unit. It has been very reliable during my use.

Handles the speed. Doesn't get hot. Use for multiple ports.

Working perfectly for me. I have it on the floor of a wide open closet about 8 feet from me and I don't really hear it. I'm not too sure what all the fuss about the fan noise is because I can't hear it. Handles 2.5G and 5G connections along with the 120G connections. This is an exceptiopnal unmanaged switch.

4 days outside the return window and the fan inside is making tons of noise. Awesome.

Switch worked well, was very well built, easily hit its 10Gb speed. But the fan was quite loud. Easily the loudest fan in the server alcove. May not matter depending on your environment though.

Works great! I have all fiber Internet with 5 gigs up and down and my home came pre wired with cat 6 cable pulled to almost every room but the switch it came with had 1 gig ports and I couldn't get speeds to my PC over a gig. Installed this switch and the speeds now are 4.8 gigs down and 4.9 up. It's also fanless so it's quite and I've not noticed any above normal temperatures. Now I specifically got the 5 gig switch because the 10 gig had a fan and I didn't want the extra noise. A little less money and I don't have a need currently for speeds over 5 gigs.

10/10 functionality wise it all works with 10GbE no problems. Chiplet heatsinks get mildly hot to the touch, but seems sufficiently cooled out of the box. Note that the single 40mm fan it comes with is set up to blow air out of the switch enclosure, and is a standard loud server fan. I would give this 4/5 stars IF I hadn't been able to swap the fan out. I was considering returning it because of the noise. But I opened it up and was surprised to see a second 40mm fan mount location available with ample room for airflow. I used a 2-pin to 3-pin adapter, hooked into a 3-pin Y splitter, to replace the single 12v 0.08A fan with two quiet Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX 12v 0.05A fans. I installed them so they blow air over the board and chiplet heatsinks, rather than the original configuration of blowing air out. I feel this is a far more efficient way of cooling the switch components, it's nearly twice the airflow but at substantially less noise. Now that it's nearly silent, I can have it right by my desk without driving me insane. If you buy this, it's absolutely worth swapping the fans.

The product - NICGIGA S100-0800T - has a compact metal chassis that feels solid and well-constructed. It's rack-mountable but also sits comfortably on a shelf ( my case ) . Despite of some reviews complaining on the fan noise being loud I was - pleasantly - surprised with the " noise " created by the fan . Is audible but, honestly, is not loud at all. This model is an unmanaged switch, so there’s no web GUI or configuration needed — plug and play. For me is ideal : just wanted to upgrade bandwidth without dealing with VLANs or network tuning...and of course ... possibility to have access ( home network LAN ) to more than two 10G ports . Being a plug-n-play device I didn't notice any issues : just plug the Lan cable and it get connected ! Running the transfer ( NAS --> Desktop ) using the switch the speed is pretty decent : 290-320 MB /s ( see picture ) vs 100-120 MB/s when using the standard 1Gbe router port ... but this is obvious ! Overall : a good product - I am using it since four weeks now - encountering ZERO issues so far ! Talking about the price ... well ... this is a different story here : I have purchased this product at a price of 278 Euro which is - at least in my view - still high but close to the correct value for the money. To summarize : I do recommend it for someone who needs multiple 10 GB ports ( my case ).

Matches all the standards I needed. Works very well. A runs little warm. Watch when you choose a placement as the airflow is right to left, hot air exits on the left side. To get the best from this unit use properly shielded cables 6a or better. Throughput is excellent. Connectivity from 1,2.5, and 10 gb connections is flawless. Good quality product. Very solidly constructed. Includes rack mounting bracket and screws to mount them to the unit.
