The cooling action works well, but It doesn’t always stay in place unless your still. It has a tendency to slip through the straps.

Not very cold, not effective
I just had ankle surgery. This ice pack doesn't stay cold for very long and doesn't actually offer very much cold power to begin with. Too few beads. Also not very flexible bc of the small sections that are sewn into it. Velcro is set up for the plush side which is even less cooling. Not delicate on my sensitive ankle either. Already threw away packaging otherwise I would return. I recommend the TheraPearl packs.

This is great. I had a partial Achilles tear and great way to ice it. You can also use this for knee pain
