Great value
Versatile and easy to use. Used to hog hunt in Tx. On need for the helmet but good if you have it. Can also be used as binoculars. Good price for the value. Night vision works great zoom capability is good.

Battery system is crap.
So I bought these night vision as my first try with them just in case the s*** hit the fan. I played with them for 2 weeks no problem. Had them all figured out. Charge it up put it away in a safe place. I did not forget about them I charge them once a month. Now my battery doesn't hold a charge. It works for 5 minutes now. I would not buy these !!!!!!!! if I were you. Now I have to try and figure out how to get a new battery system for this.

QUITE EFFECTIVE NIGHT VISION
I'm getting ready for hunting season so I want to get familiar with these goggles & mount them on my helmet which is a US army Kevlar helmet. Basic operation of this is fairly easy. The six buttons on top of the tubes are standing high and easy to find with the fingers without looking. That is a real plus & it makes zooming and other functions easy to access, even in the dark. Focusing is achieved by the focus ring on front of the left tube & it too ie easy to use and adjust. At the eyepieces there are two rings to adjust the eye relief for the best view of each eye separately if desired. Unfortunately the rubber eye cups do not fit my face very well and that is quite annoying for me personally. There is a menu which is visible through the internal screen and it is illuminated, making it easily visible. Even though it is pretty instinctive to operate there are details which need the owners manual of 25 pages long and it does not cover mounting very well. I'm still trying to figure that out. These glasses are lightweight at about 12 1/2 ounces so they are easy to carry on the neck strap. The night vision capability is pretty good and frankly better than expected. I have not yet tested the battery life beyond one hour though. These are budget night vision goggles & as such I think them to be a good deal for the price. I will update this review if I find any problems & I will continue to test them more thoroughly. So far I am quite satisfied.

You get what you pay for.
Had a buddy buy these and I would say they are barley above gen 1, which for all you poors is a bad thing. A flashlight in the dark would be a better option, don't be a poor get some gen 3 white phosphorus NVGs or a thermal and don't bet you life or even $250 on these turds.

Fair for the price
So far I have been happy with these in low light without the illuminator or in total dark with them. The only issue I have is that they do not actually go down to 1x magnification, indoors this makes things 8 feet away look like you can touch them. One thing to keep in mind is the illuminator will not work through glass, it reflects and washes out the sensor. All in all fair for the price if your goal is to look at things outside, don't plan on using these indoors or to do any close up work with your hands.
