Truly amazing sound but you will be lucky to get a year out of them with extreme care
Let me start by saying this....The sound quality it magical. It is balanced and clean with superb range for iems.I’ve never had a hint of bleed over or loss of dinamic range even with the shocking yet smooth low end these offer. My 215’s just sound muddy and limited which I never thought I would say.I have loved them so much in fact that I have purchased the 3 TIMES.Why you ask...Because on each pair between 6mo-1yr on side will just go out.The stress point at which the cable plugs into the monitor has no support and depends on a crappy friction fit with 2 thin tiny pins as contacts.I pride myself on taking care of the things I spend my money on and by no means abused them. They have a case that I take them out of to use and they are returned promptly when finished.Do I use them while working out? Nope. I have good enough ones for that.Do I use them while cutting the grass?Nope, I have ones for that too.Do I allow to cord to dangle and swing around a get cought on things?Nope. I alway run it down the back inside my shirt.Am I constantly bending the forming wire to go around my ear?Not at all. After set up I may make small adjustments while insuring it’s not at the connector end.3 freaking pairs!!!?I love them!!! However, I can’t continue to love something that obviously is just screwing me over.Or and before anyone says anything...They sure did manage to fault out or break in a manner that wound even allow me to Frankenstein the 3 pair together to have one working pair. It seems to alway happen on the same side. Amazing. If they released them tomorrow with a shure style connecter I would buy them without a thought for $250.Even considering I got my first pair for $90 on Amazon and never paid more than $110 each for the other 2.

Awesome IEM's, Can't Go Wrong.
Great IEM's. Honestly, I rather not write a 10- page essay (as these headphones could potentially warrant). But to anyone curious about these earphones, take my word and the dependable quality/consistency of Audio Technica. The IM70's are simply awesome with no notable complaints to pick from. Extremely straight-forward design, ergonomics, and quality that all add up to a super strong and rounded package. To me, these are essentially M50's bundled into a better IEM format.Personally, I chose these IM's because I was simply tired of cupping the side of my headphones on stage during venues (DJ, Artist, & Producer). I began the search for comfortable, durable, isolating IEM's and found these to be ideal, even if pricing wasn't a big factor (just as along it isn't Beats lol). It has been a great switch, I'm more than stoked. While the overall freq. response obviously isn't necessarily suited for extremely specific mixing/referencing it has great characteristics for on-stage monitoring in respect to DJ'ing and electronic music:- Very easy to drive - with any setup, non-picky, strong 2x drivers for good output + great isolation, highly comfortable/ergonomic, strong build, and a favorably balanced and clean reproduction. Not to understate anything else, these earphones also excel at general listening too and the sound detail is well rounded and clear. It is slightly bass favored, but not overdone as lower frequencies are easily distinguished. Better than IM50's if you favor a more clear or accurate bass-line (less bass than IM50) with a good emphasis at higher vocal ranges.I did consider IM02's, which sound amazing and have great value, however the earphones would be harder to drive in setups w/o Pre-Amp or optimize to it's full potential, and suited to more accurate listening roles.Overall, solid package, no complaints, and pretty happy about them. The IM70's give out a nicely refined and superb performance that is very respectable in so many ways.

Great sound. Stay tuned....
The only reason I am giving this four stars is the unit was defective out of the box--the right ear piece would not snap properly into the cable, and short out. Amazon offered a quick return and I will be replacing them. When I was able to hear them, however, the sound was fantastic! Excellent punchy bass (even sub bass that doesn't rattle), crisp, rich, non-sibilant highs and very fluid mids, that if they roll off at all, my ear cannot discern. The tips that come with them are rather shoddy and can make them difficult to seal properly (there is not as much give in the silicone as I'd like no matter which size I tried. I recommend either Comply TX-500 or UE900 replacement tips, both of which fit well. When I receive my replacement phones, I will more than likely upgrade the review to a five. Had the cable been the problem, I wouldn't have bothered replacing them and just bought another I liked these so much. But it was the earpiece itself. I think I just got a bad p[air because the build quality--even the memory wire is excellent.
