Solid Vegan Protein at a Good Price (written by Vegan PT)
Overall, this is a great vegan prosumer level protein. It contains a solid 21 grams of protein per serving, mixes well, and has a fantastic flavour profile, all while being low in fat with no added sugar. With some banana or PB added to your post-workout smoothie, you'll find this protein powder thickens up like a delicious shake and can curb sugar cravings after your workout while delivering the protein your body needs to help your muscles recover. If you're not competing professionally but want to ensure you're feeding your muscles with a solid protein that delivers all 9 essential amino acids, this protein powder is a great option.PROS:- Great taste- Good amount of protein per serving.- Mixes well (I use a personal blender, half a banana, and water, but you can sub in your favourite plant-based milk or other additives to change the flavour profile).- Complete chain of amino acids with a combo of pea + soya protein.CONS:- Sweetened with Sucralose, which can upset some people's stomachs. Stevia or Monk Fruit would be a better option.- Doesn't note the percentages of each protein on the package or the AA profile.- Is very sweet, so if you don't like overly sweet shakes, I'd recommend an unflavoured pea protein isolate powder. Saves you a bit of money too.If you're plant-based or simply hate the way whey protein makes you bloat, this is a great option. Are there better vegan proteins out there? Sure. But they're also more expensive and (sometimes) less tasty. So really it's about prioritising what's most important to you. This is a solid protein at a solid price for solid muscles.
