This gate is fantastic for the price! I have 6 month old 40 lb Labrador puppy, and a 16 year old geriatric cat. Litter boxes and food bowls are a huge problem because my elderly cat can’t jump high, so anything the cat can reach, the puppy can reach, too. My puppy is getting fat from scarfing down cat food all the time, and my cat is losing weight from his food always getting eaten by the dog. It’s been a huge struggle.... This gate is the solution I’ve been looking For! A few points: the cat door is pretty darn small. A small-medium size dog who is VERY determined MIGHT be able to get through it. But overall, if your dog is medium sized and over ~30 pounds, it’s very unlikely that you’ll have a problem. No chance in heck my lab puppy is gonna fit through that cat opening.It’s metal and fairly sturdy, but the bars are hollow and poorly welded onto the frame. I wouldn’t recommend this gate for toddlers, as enough pulling could easily dislodge the bars from the frame.It’s also very easy to install, but you have to look at the instructions. There’s a metal pin that settles in the holes on the expansion bar, and you have to lift the plastic piece containing the pin in order for the adjuster to move down the bar. Then you spin the plastic piece until the gate is tightly set. Very easy.... as long as you know how to dislodge that pin and move the adjuster. It’s clearly shown in the attached instructions.Overall, GREAT buy and highly recommended!

Nothing to assemble. Tried it, successfully, in three different doors. Got a discounted item that had been previously returned. No issues. Unless a doorway is the wrong size, I can’t imagine why this would not work. Very pleased with this sturdy gate. Would buy again and highly recommend.

Pet gate solved the issue of cats pawing at the bedroom door at 4:30 a.m. looking to be fed. Vertical slats prevent climbing, unlike versions with grid pattern. Height is good, preventing cats from jumping over. Recommend placing at => 6 inches away from door since they can stick their paws between the bars. First full night's sleep in weeks; a blessing and no more earplugs:-) Gate is well constructed, though knob tightener is a bit fiddly and don't know how long it will last since we've only had the gate up for about a week--hence the 4 rating--but overall sturdy. Tip: to get a nice tight seal between walls, position the screw lock-in mechanism one hole past the nearest hole (if the nearest hole is right close to the knob tighter). This allows you to fully use the threads under the knob to tighten tension.

It's incredibly easy to put up and take down and it's about as sturdy as this type of design can get. If you can't tell from the pictures, it basically works like a tension rod for curtains but with a pin system that lets you quickly engage/disengage the tension at evenly spaced points along the length of the rod. It has 4 points of contact with the walls, and as long as all 4 are pressing against the wall, you can screw in a lot of tension very quickly.I don't know if it would survive if our 33 lb dog were madly, ferociously trying to get past it, but it has held up from him jumping onto it and pressing his weight against it. Chewing is also not an issue for 2 reasons: The gaps between the rails are too narrow for him to get a grip on any one part of it, and even if he did, I'm confident the metal would hold up.if you're concerned about a dog actually trying to push past it or actively dismantle it, and if your dog is more than 30 lb, then I think the only solution would be a more permanent fixture. Otherwise, this works great and is very convenient.One tip: Don't try to tighten it past the point of snugness. I noticed that you can actually continue tightening until the metal gate itself begins to bend.

I got this to keep my dog out of the cat litter boxes. It's perfect. Setup was quick and easy. I'd recommend this to anyone that wants a simple and inexpensive way to allow cats through while keeping dogs out.

This is nice and very tall. Slightly too tall. If you are using this to block a main thoroughfare I'd look at another item as I am 5'9 and can barely get over it. Any shorter and you're better of resetting it ever time, what a pain. Also the cat gate doesn't have a lock at all for the open position so it swings freely if you don't have it closed which when taking the gate in and out of place in the morning is either loud or a juggling practice to avoid it from slamming shut with a crash.This is super easy to set up, it has rubber pads on the wall side to avoid drywall damage and one of my stair cases I have to have it at a slight angle as the two walls are perfectly parallel and the rubber accommodates this fine. I will say that the two sliding portions of the gate aren't completely easy to slide (say if you want the gate to go wider) and with the item so tall you slide the top half, where your hand naturally wants to go to open it wider, and it doesn't move at all. You have to bend forward and adjust at the lower half to slide it. It easy to lock, you just adjust the peg and unscrew a plastic spacer it pushes the the gate flush with the wall, which works great. I will say you have to really make sure the peg is pressed tightly into the hole as it does tend to pop out occasionally. Haven't had these that long but with all the pressure on the little metal peg and most of the housing is plastic I am not sure how well these will hold up over time as all the pressure is on those pieces.

Sturdy☆NOT damaging walls☆keeps 90 pound bully & 3 French Bulldogs separated.☆☆the door is for a kitten or puppy but nothing bigger but it works well for placing bowls on the other side. Buying more for the rest of the house

The gate appears to be of decent quality. HOWEVER, the cat door is rendered useless if the door frame is under 32 inches due to the overlap in the two pieces of the frame; the bars from the second piece block passage thru the cat door in the front piece.Horrible description. Had to return.

Son muy fáciles de poner y quitar y son muy resistentes. Valen tanto para animales como para niños pues una vez apretado el seguro es difícil quitarlo para un niño pequeño. La puerta es de buen tamaño, caben mis dos gatos y hasta un perro chico. Los barrotes no dejan tanto espacio, un gato de 4-5 meses ya no es capaz de pasarlos

This has been surprisingly good. It came assemble, easy to instal and has been working perfectly so far.

El producto me llegó antes de le esperado y esta muy bien, justo lo que necesitaba para mi mascota, es bastante alto para poder pasar por encima pero así mi perrita no puede saltarlo y la puertita es muy práctica para abrir y cerra rápido, además es muy fácil de poner y quitar. El único inconveniente que le veo es que no se ajustó exactamente al espacio pero estando un poquito chueco queda perfecto.
