Just the backpack I needed!
This backpack matches a small luggage set I have (small roller and tote), that is black with gold hardware.I like that it rolls and has a telescopic handle. The handle is not the loop style that your hand slides into, you actually have to hold the handle (not yet sure if that's a pro or con, so neutral on it for now).Although the straps are sturdy and can be adjusted easily, the rolling feature is handy. It rolls smoothly and has lots of compartments. Tons of storage and easy to overfill. Be careful not to pack too much if you are trying to stay within carryon/personal item guidelines. It does expand a bit and you don't want it to bulge.I consider it good value. It could be great but it was priced a little higher that other similar bags.

Elegant, high capacity, low profile backpack/carry on
Although this backpack is labeled as, and targeted to, women, I don’t see any reason why men, too, wouldn’t want to tote this handsome bag with them during their travels. The pack is well-designed and fully padded to provide both maximum capacity and comfort while either pulling or carrying on your shoulders. You can also carry this like an old-fashioned suitcase or strap it on to the luggage handle of your large suitcase. You can store enough clothes, sundries and electronics to last the length of a business trip and yet it is compact enough to fit in an airline overhead bin or under the seat ahead of you. I ordered the black pack with the cream colored trim and it’s really slick looking and looks neat and trim without being bulky. The outer material is tough and water resistant. The sleek design is enhanced by the hideaway adjustable telescoping handle. The straps can be tucked away so they don’t hang loosely when not being used. The sturdy rubber wheels will handle the roughest of surfaces and the bottom of the backpack is sturdily reinforced to prevent damage to the bag and its contents. The plentiful padding will safely protect your laptop and other electronics. There’s a separate pocket to carry your own powerpack for USB charging and a strap to connect your smartphone on the outside. There are three fairly large compartments providing plenty of room. The largest is for your clothes and shoes, the mid-sized will fit just about every sized laptop and components, while the “small” section is perfect for your carry-on toiletries and other small items. Each section is zipper enclosed and sufficiently padded and protected. You even get a separated section to carry your soiled or used clothing. There is a front zippered pocket that allows you to store your cellphone for easy access and also to safely pack papers and files. You can store your small thermos or hot cup in the attached side holster. There’s also an attached, but detachable, key ringIt seems as though the designers have thought of just about everything. If I don’t decide to purchase another one of these for myself I think I might find myself tussling with the Missus to see who takes this one to the airport.

Pockets! Pockets! Pockets!
Ok, first things first: This baby has a lot of pockets. No need to put all of your items into small bags - this thing has plenty of pockets for storage. I'd be remiss if I didn't mentioned the NICE-SIZED wheels for travelling and the fact that the handle stores nicely into its own little cocoon with a zippered-top to lock it in and keep things looking tight. One thing I didn't catch was the little inside pocket where you can store a battery, and there's a little built-in cable that attaches to an outlet on the OUTSIDE where you can plug in a USB-A cord to attach your phone/MP3 Player/Tablet to keep a charge while you're waiting for your flight, or traveling in an cab to your destination. The hideaway backpack setup is nice for someone who may already be carrying suitcases with both hands and want to give this a piggyback while on the move. Maybe check your baggage, then put the backpack straps into their little hiding spot, then pop up the handle and roll your way to your gate.I didn't mention looks, because I'm more into function than esthetics, but yeah - it looks nice as well. Very chic.

Spacious and well padded
I was impressed with how well padded this bag was. Every flap, the sides and the back felt thick and you definitely feel that your electronics will be protected. The padding extends to the handles (top and side) and the backpack straps. In the laptop compartment, there's space for two good sized laptops as well as a tablet. Again, everything inside is padded as well. The main compartment is reasonably sized. As with any roller bag, you lose some space because of the extended handle hardware. There are a few things that didn't quite hit the mark.Because it is so well padded, it feels heavier than other rolling backpacks I've used. The pull handle is a single column instead of two extending rods. It doesn't feel quite as solid as the rest of the bag, and you end up with your fingers on either side of the handle. Not the most comfortable. The zippers on the main compartment stop about 2" from the bottom of the bag. If I'm packing for a trip, I would like to be able to open the bag flat. The other "flaw" is that the drink pocket on the outside is shallow. It's wide enough to hold my insulated water bottle, but it only comes up about half way. The bottle doesn't feel stable. And if you are carrying the bag by the side handle, your drink bottle is on the bottom with no way to secure the bottle.
