Yaheetech 52" Large Bird Cage for Parrots, Cockatiels, Budgies, Flight Cage

I purchased this cage for two cockatiels as a replacement for their two separate 20"x20"x32" cages. I am very impressed by how much more useable space my birds have in this cage compared to their previous set up. This cage has a smaller footprint than I anticipated while providing much more room for the animals. The flat 'roof' also provides a lot of space for the birds to hang out on, as they spend about as much time climbing along the outside of the cage as they do inside of it. Their only downside is that they cannot climb up and down the legs of this cage as they could with their previous cages. I was able to assemble this by myself in a little over an hour as an average middle aged woman who is not particularly mechanically inclined. It definitely would have gone faster with a second set of hands to hold pieces steady when connecting them, but it was not vital to the construction process. Admittedly the instructions are not the greatest (graphic/image only, no words), but I only once had to remove a piece that I initially installed facing the wrong way. The cage was very well packaged upon arrival and it was easy to match up the pieces to the instructions to verify that all pieces were in the box. There were also two extra bolts included in case of dropping/losing some during construction. I am very happy with how solid this cage is. I don't have any concerns about pieces bending or warping. The bottom plastic tray is a bit thinner than I expected, but that does make it lighter to move in and out of position when cleaning the cage. Overall, this cage is the same level of quality as cages I have previously owned from Prevue Pet and A&E. I would not hesitate to buy another cage from this brand.

So far so good! Good stability as long as you tighten the screws enough. Good value. Nothing was broken or bent. I like the overall appearance although the screws stand out against the black, as well as the chain that attachs the closing stick thing is silver. The wheels were a nightmare to get on. Just a very very tight fit. I was able to do it mostly by myself, don't listen to people saying the instructions are horrible. If you've built LEGO's before you'll be good. Not many words just pictures kinda nostalgic.

My cockatiel had started chewing on his previous cage (he knows it annoys me) so I knew it was time for a new cage. I picked this one because it was large, tall, and on wheels, and had a removable tray on the bottom for changing the paper. I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness and quality of the cage - I did notice a couple of areas where the paint was chipped when I opened the box, but the box was damaged on arrival so it could have been from shipping. Luckily they were not in very accessible areas. The cage was pretty easy to put together, and OMG I LOVE the wheels! They allow me to push the cage around easily in any direction, not just front and back or side to side. It makes moving the cage to vacuum so easy. It took a little while for my bird to get used to climbing up and down the cage because the bars were a little farther apart than he was used to, and the sections with the square stabilizing rods (not sure what else to call them) threw him for a loop Because he couldn’t use them to pull up with his beak, he had to reach past them to the next regular bar. It is a little difficult to put toys that need to he screwed in on the opposite side of the cage because it is so large, you have to have long arms to reach inside and around. If you have someone to help that shouldn’t be a problem. There are no doors for food or water bowls, you have to hang them inside. They do provide 4 plastic bowls that you can use though. I am not a huge fan of the bowls provided because they are all double bowls, and it just seems like wasted space since I don’t put his water right next to his food. I was able to get other bowls that would fit. The tray on the bottom is a bit floppy but it works fine, and i was really happy that they didn’t require you to put one of those grates on the bottom on top of the tray. Those just get too messy too quickly in my opinion. I like the area under the cage to store food or toys or treats or cage covers too - this cage is bigger than my old one but my bird accessories take up less overall space now. I’d recommend this cage for cockatiels or similar sized birds, especially if you like the idea of wheels that allow easy movement and ample space for your feathered friend to play!

52” Size is spacious and suitable for a singular cockatiel. Fairly simply to assemble, easier with a second person to help hold it up. Feels sturdy and of good quality, especially considering the price. BUT!! The cage doors open way too easily! There is no locking function. You will need carabiners or something so the bird cannot escape. The wheels roll nicely so it’s very easy to move the cage. I would personally NOT use the dowel rod perches or the plastic bowls included, do your own research on why.

This Yaheetech 52" bird cage is a good buy. It's very well-built and feels solid when assembled. The coated wrought iron material looks good and the cage has a lot of room for small birds. I currently have 2 budgies in it. 3 long wooden dowel perches are included and four plastic double feeding cups. It looks like this cage is made of two smaller ones stacked together, so there is an upper and a lower door, which makes maintenance easier. The pull-out bottom tray is strong plastic and very easy to keep clean (I use the cheap supermarket paper towels for liners and they work fine) There a lot of storage room on the shelf under the cage. Wheels make it very easy to move the cage around. There is no top door on this model, if that matters. I recommend this cage to anyone starting or looking for an extra good quality bird cage

This arrived fast. Assembly required two people. It was easy to put together about 20 minutes including time opening the box and sorting pieces. Pieces were not label. There was no bent bars or chip paint. Very good quality and sturdy. Cage came complete with no missing parts. Very spacious for my cockatiel.

Easy to assemble. It took 30 minutes to put it together. The cage is well made, all the pieces were intact. It is huge for 2 birds. Very strong and steady. I am happy with this cage.

Good size for my mustache parakeet. We have the same one for our IRN as well and it’s plenty of room for both of them (they have separate cages). Pretty simple to set up, sturdy, and easy to move around with the wheels.

Good quality cage , however, not suitable for budgies, the bars are slightly too big so they can injury themselves pretty badly. The only issue is the doors are a lot smaller than expected and there is no way to access the inside of the cage from any other angle so you have to use the small opening of the doors, and unless you have long arms it’s very hard to attach any perches or toys at the back of the cage.

Good quality

For the price point of this cage, it’s hard to do any better. I was looking to purchase something secondhand, but most people in our area are reselling cages close to original purchase price, so I chose to browse Amazon. For $150, this cage is superb. The size is wonderful and houses our cockatiel no problem. It’s big enough to house more than one cockatiel, but our two females don’t care for each other 😂 The only design feature I’m not a fan of is the door.. the entryway is a bit small and the chain the lock is attached to is a serious safety risk to birds if you have climbers like ours. We just removed the chain altogether. The cage is also fairly easy to assemble, took us about 15 minutes. So far we are very happy with this purchase :)

It's very disappointing. A completely different cage came. No brand, the size is different.
