Our Whey Proteins do not contain any heavy metals/plastics but our Ancient Grains Plant protein does contain trace amounts of lead. This is due to the fact that lead naturally occurs in the soil.

Hi There! The shelf life is two years from the "born on" date on the container. The best taste would be during that time. Keep it somewhere dry and cool, maybe even the freezer if you have room. -Jason
