Tao Te Ching (Dao de Jing): The Way to Goodness and Power (Chinese Bound) Hardcover – 14 May 2017

This is a really beautiful book, the binding is gorgeous and the paper is wonderful quality. Each page is doubled over giving it a more substantial feel as the text itself is only short. The printing feels very special and I really like this translation. I love it! I bought this for myself but it would make a wonderful gift.

I was attracted to this particular version of Lao Tzu because the Chinese text was included. Unfortunately instead of separating each line, they are all jumbled together, and centered. As a result the producer does unforgivable injustice to the beauty and rhythm of this great work. The poetry in Lao Tzu writings is lost in this layout. I suppose the translators did not intend the book to be read by someone who is bilingual. The one redeeming merit is the stylish cover, paper, binding and type size. For this I award one star.
