You won't get a better performance than sebo, but you can get better handling
Where do I start? I have owned a henry, I've owned multiple Shark vacuums, used countless of others over the years - I have never experienced anything like a sebo. After doing extensive research into what vacuum is the best, I was torn between Miele and Sebo - having learnt that Shark/Dyson are just marketting jargon that won't last! In the end I went with the Sebo, automatically adjusts for the floor type - meaning I just need to turn it on and get on with it! The good: - Best vacuum suction I've ever witnessed - Good cord length - Easy enough to put together and swap over bags etc - Will pull in dirt before getting to it (won't spray dirt around like my old Shark did with it's rollers) The bad (when I say bad, it's more me being picky - there seems a lot, but it's just what I've found) - It doesn't swivel, so can be more difficult to manoeuvre on the spot (thinking like the dyson ball or similar) - It won't work on door mats, will simply suck them up unless they are seriously stuck down to the floor - When using the hose, be careful - it tends to pull the machine over if you extend too far - The extension hose, it doesn't replace the standard hose, it simply extends the standard hose, this means you need to store it somewhere when you don't need to extend the hose which isn't a huge problem but confused me slightly. - It is heavy, so if you suffer with back problems or anything like that, I couldn't recommend this, you would need a stick vacuum especially if you need to take it upstairs etc. Would I buy it again knowing what I know now? For me personally, yes I would - the performance of it is top notch, we have a dog and have hairs everywhere and it has absolutely no problem with them at all, the hoover makes carpets plump and brand new again, it is seriously good for suction and adjusts it's height accordingly - even worked with my rugs which are very high pile!

Best vacuum cleaners.
This is my second Sebo. I had my last one for 10 years. Very good vacuum cleaner. I would struggle to go back to using any other vacuum. It lifts from hard floor to carpets easily. It has a self adjusting roller which moves to suit carpet height.

Sebo 91506GB Automatic x7 Extra E Power Bagged vacuum cleaner. 890w.
I sent back the first delivery because it wouldnโt switch on. We Made an arrangement for another to be sent out the next full working day. That was yesterday. But I have to say itโs fair to say thatโs the only time in all my years of buying vacuums that Iโve had to send one back. Anyway the delivery lady was her usual lovely self. There has been comment about this vacuum being heavy but I donโt find it heavy and I like it because of that long hose attachment for extra length that reaches the top of the stairs and beyond. I like the fact that it has a bag because when emptying the other vacuum outside I found it didnโt just empty at the click of a button you have to pull the dirt out and thatโs a mucky old job and not what vacuuming is about. I am one of these people who are beginning to realise that bagged vacuums do have a stronger suction and that the loss of suction is just an advertising gimmick from other brands. Ok it doesnโt swivel but does it really need to when there is at hand the pull up hose with handle which you attach the crevice tools to. This is the best vacuum cleaner I have bought itโs powerful because itโs bagged the dust is contained better no more dusty emptying you just change the bag how fabulous is that. Itโs powerful itโs got great onboard crevice tools. This is everything that a vacuum cleaner should be. This is the Rolls Royce of vacuum cleaners without a dought. Iโm not going back to emptying a jug now that only has a limited capacity compared to this beastie. I would definitely recommend this product it worth treating yourself to.

Quality product
After years of buying just good enough to get us through stuff we have hit a point where we can maybe spend a little more on white goods and home products. We learnt this the hard way by replacing tumble dryers and vacuums etc every couple of years (usually just after the warrantee had run out). Any way our Hoover broke recently (2 years old!) and the search was on for something decent this time. I usually start by going on John Lewis website and doing a high to low price search. Whilst not as expensive as a top end Dyson the Sebo is definitely not cheap. Then I read the reviews, on the JL website and then Amazon. The reviews looked good. I liked the fact it's bagged, as fed up of emptying and cleaning out dust filters after 20 minutes use as the suction suffers. Anyway stumped for the Sebo with extra length of hose. Nervous about spending ยฃ200+ on a vacuum but needn't have been. The Sebo works great. Very powerful, visibly can see the pile stand up on carpet. The auto height adjust takes a bit of getting used to. Transition from carpet to wood floor you need to allow a few seconds for the height to change, but that's no biggy. Extra hose is a must for cleaning stairs, the standard hose is very short. Not changed bags yet in over a month without any loss of suction. Oh and the air freshener capsules smell nice. Bought from Amazon as the price was good and JL were out of stock. Very pleased so far. It feels strong and well made.

I'd buy it again
I don't give 5 stars unless a product is unexpectedly far more than I imagined it woud be. I was surprised to pay so much and have to assemble the product, but it went togethether really easily and well. It is light enough for me to carry it upstairs with one hand while carrying a full cup of tea in the other. It doesn't always pick absolutely everything up that I ask it to - but I do test it quite stiffly most times I use it (Pine neefles, pins, old staples, etc). It does make marks on the carpet that suggest the automatic setting for carpet pile depth works. I find the small extension hose quite difficult to get back into the housing, I like the audible click when you know it is properly seated. I like the solid "gun" element of the extension hose. Like all uprights it suffers from a tendency to fall over if you try and stretch the hose too far. This can be overcome by using the separate longer supplied hose - but if you are like me you never remember to get it out and it is too far away to be bothered to use. One downside is how it lets the bag overflow before the check bag light goes on. It may be my just my vacuum of course. I didn't realise and it was only after reseating three or four times that I checked the hose. It took several goes to get all the debris out of the hose, iit was quite awkward to clean because of the angles. Like very single manufacturer the price of new bags is very high - but for me this one lasted over 5 months. A good solid machine, with its own foibles as with any other manufacturer.

Awesome vacuum cleaner
We have tried Dysons, Henry, Shark and now Sebo over the years. We currently have three German Shepherds and the Sebo is by far the best cleaner we have tried for all round cleaning. Yes itโs big, prone to falling over if you move to far from the unit using the built in wand, which is great for getting into nooks and crevices. The suction is good and it brings the pile on a carpet up well. We have a large rug in the hall which has always been a nuisance to keep clean, The Dyson and Shark cleaners struggled with it as you would have to go up down side to side and lit a candle to Saint Jude to get the dog hair off. It was no contest for the Sebo that had turned the dreaded rug clean into a pleasure. Itโs not the best looking cleaner in the world but more than makes up for it in terms of cleaning ability.

Outstanding
These are simply the best of the best. Quiet and pleasant to use, the wand and hose being so easy to hand and all the tools onboard is so handy. It's beautifully well built and feels like an investment that'll outlive me! The bags last forever and its so nice not having plastic bins that looks dirty and disgusting in no-time, no filters to wash, nothing to clog up. Even when the bag is full its still has amazing suction. The head that adjusts up and down depending on the flor type means it never bogs down or digs too deeply into the carpets, yet the pickup is fantastic. Nothing grooms the carpets as well as this machine and everything is sucked up in one pass. The carpets feel bouncy and look the best they ever have. You do have to get use to holding the machine with one hand and the hose attachment with the other as it can be unsteady, but its not a major issue really, just a habit you get into. The extra hose extension makes stairs cleaning very easy. It lays totally flat so getting under beds is easy peasy. While its brilliant at cleaning hard floors, you cant turn the brush roll off so delicate flooring might not suit this vacuum, although you can buy extension tolls and a hard floor cleaner head to turn it onto somewhat of a cylinder style vacuum if you need to. It's not as manoeuvrable as my last vacuum with a swivel head but thats a trade off im happy with given how good this cleaner is in basically every other aspect.

I'll never buy any other brand.
I've been threatening my other half for a long time that I'm going to buy a Sebo to replace our old Henry. Don't get me wrong the old venerable Henry has done alright but it's an old design and while it apparently 'does the job', I knew that a Sebo would do the same job many times better. My parents have always had Sebo cleaners and for a long time have had two X4's (due to awkwardly narrow and steep stairs). Both these cleaners are excellent and have never given any issue or cause for complaint (other than being slightly heavy to my aging mother and father). Lately I've been getting annoyed with our little Henry - the hose keeps detaching from his nose (despite multiple attempts to superglue back), and it's just awkward having to try and clean a medium size house with the Henry attachment where an upright would be quicker. Also the henry doesn't really get in the carpet like an upright does with a roller brush. As an experiment I did a 'proper' clean with the henry prior to going around the same bits again with the new Sebo and checked brand new unused bag after and it was about a 1/5 full of all the old dirt and detritus that has been sittng in the carpet for all this time. (we have no pets) Even the hose attachment which I used on the stairs is picking up more dirt/hair/sock fluff etc. Even visibly the carpets look cleaner. Granted, similar results may be found with other upright cleaners compared to the Henry. But Sebo is the brand that I trust and also as I come from a family with asthma and allergies I know first hand that the filtration on these Sebo hoovers is first class. I am confident that as with the other Sebo cleaner I've used in the past, this one is going to give me many years of trouble free vacuuming.
