Pirate 21

We had this described to us as Black Jack mixed with Love Letter and that is exactly what it is. If you like either of those card games but would like a new twist then this is a game for you.

This is a wonderful game for people that may not be that knowledgeable in modern tabletop games!Pros-Easy to learn, especially if you and other players know how to play 21 (took us around 5 minutes)-Not too long as the most experienced round of players can last a solid 20 minutes-Perfect warm up game for long days/nights of board gaming funCons-I personally did not like the ability of the King card as the player that gets a 21 count exactly with the King automatically wins the game, but all my friends enjoyed it, so that part is debatableDefinitely a Recommendation for people getting into the board gaming scene, inexperienced board /table-top players and for family game night (no gambling involved, so don't worry about that!)

This game really surprised me. I played it at a local gaming convention on a whim, mainly because it was short and in the play to win section. It was a ton of fun, it's like Black Jack mixed with Love Letter. Each card has special abilities on it. There's a lot of strategy that goes into this game, it might not seem like it at first, but give it a chance. This one is very highly recommended from me. It's a great filler game and most people I've played it with have wanted to play it again right after we finish the first game. It's great for people who don't play a lot of games, with the familiarity of black jack it's pretty simple to teach people, and the rule book is well done too.
