Assembly was a breeze, great unit!
The other reviewer who says assembly was difficult must be the dumbest person alive, or they don’t own a Phillips screw driver. The assembly of this unit is literally four screws, that’s it. The legs are installed and fold down, the grate, flame guard and drip pan are already inside. Honestly the hardest part about assembly was cutting the tape and box straps off because of how tightly packed the box is. The grill was set up and running around 10 minutes after delivery, it reaches temperature incredibly fast and is an excellent grill. If you don’t own a Phillips screwdriver then I guess assembly is going to be difficult

Buy this product!
This grill was just delivered and is currently coming up to temp for the first burn. I just wanted to say how super impressed I am with the customer service from Rec Tec. This grill was delivered with a part bent, nothing more than cosmetic really.I emailed them and within 20 minutes the owner called my wife and a new part is in the mail. Nothing else this small act of personal customer service has made me a fan of the brand already.I will update later with cook results but Customer service so far is amazing.Update1We have had 3 cooks on this thing and love it my son made some amazing ribs with My recipes of course. It is easy to use, the app is awesome, so far great product and look forward to many years of use out of it.I love the personality of the company and the videos and helpful needs of the owners. They really standby the product and support the customers.1 month update we now use this grill at least 5 nights a week. I just ordered the griddle and sere kits so I am sure that number is about to go up.3 month review: the griddle will be fun to use when we go camping but I don’t use it much while at home. The sear plates on the other hand help take the stakes to the next level. We have only been using Rec Tec pellets so far, they produce very little ash and we get good burn times from them.The Rec Tec Facebook groups for each grill model helps with community support cooking ideas. Overall a great product and awesome support and good people standing behind the products. You will not regret this product, the PID controller is awesome and is head and shoulders above the treager tailgater.WiFi is easy to use and it sends consistent updates to your phone about your cook and temp controls allows you to keep within 5 degrees. No more baby sitting if your looking your not cooking. It is truly a set it and forget it. Go about your day, run errands, have a beer and control it all from your phone.

Rec Tec rocks!
Love this grill. Good package deal with cover, temperature probe, fuel and more. Rec Tec uses better steel than the competition. Computer, wifi and phone app controls are easy to use. Temperature control is spot on, stays within a couple of degrees of set temperature, and can get up to 600 degrees plus, rather quickly, unlike some of the others. I do recommend getting the sear kit, and vent covers, which is extra. Customer support is awesome. For my first cook I did a 12 lb packer brisket and the results were fabulous (see picture). First one I ever tried and it was easy. Have done a dozen cooks so far and everything came out great.

Broke after a month
Grill lasted less then a month before it stopped working. Rec tec was not helpful at all in the entire process. Had to file a claim with amazon to get refunded AFTER rec tec approved the return and I returned it. Was going to buy another one but there is no way I would buy from this company again.

Great customer service
Was broken when recieved. Box look like it went through UPS fight club. Contacted the manufacturer who sent me a new replacement and a few extra goodies for the trouble.Today 2-20-20 is the second smoke. Just as easy and effortless as the first. The phone pairing is neat, can control it 100% from anywhere. (I had to get my tires change during the first smoke)I recommended this to anyone with a small family of 3 or 4, as it cooks plenty of food for the two of us.

After a minor adjustment the grill performs great!
After posting my initial review I received a call from Rec Tec but was busy at the time and couldn't answer the phone. The message said there was a simple fix to the problem I was having with the grill not maintaining a temperature below 250 degrees. It was then I realized that instead of bothering them or saying anything negative I should just do an internet search and find how to solve my problem. 30 seconds later I found a video on how to adjust the feed rate for the pellets and now have my grill working to perfection! Thank you Rec Tec and please forgive me for being an idiot!

The Wifi feature lets me control the smoker from anywhere in my house.
I've been using this smoker for about 3 months now and really love it. I did call the service line one Saturday morning for an issue with the feed rate of the pellets. I left a message and they actually got back to me within 30 minutes and walked me through the adjustment that was needed. I was very impressed with this customer service, especially as it was on the weekend.

Gift for my husbands birthday! He has really enjoyed using the Rec Tec grill! Everything he has cooked has turned out great!Would highly recommend!
