Very cool robot
There is a lot to do with this robot, and it's a great starter kit for coding. I loved the starter pack that came with it, and worked with my 7 y/o niece to get through it. It is fun for kids to draw different codes, and watch the robot traverse their design.

Great Toy for Learning to Code
I already have four Ozobots that I use to teach coding in my Science Club. My daughter enjoyed them so much that she wanted an Ozobot of her own. The Starter Pack comes with activity sheets, markers, and other accessories to get you started. Once you learn what Ozobots can do, you can go to the Ozobot website and get more games, or even learn how to code in Blockly language to program your own Ozobot (Yes, you can actually program your Ozobot by writing the code, then holding the robot up to the computer screen!). These little robots are no bigger than a ping-pong ball, but they are wonderful tools to teach coding to both kids and adults. I highly recommend them!

Neat little Robot
I’ve had this for a few weeks in my robotics class and I just wanted to thoroughly test it before reviewing it. I love how easy it is to use. It took me seconds to set it up. I got the app on the iPad and it didn’t take very long to charge it. No wifi/ Bluetooth connection is needed. Calibrating it is very easy. You just turn it on and hold it for a few seconds until it flashes and then you set it on the iPad in the circle and a calibrates within seconds. I love that there are lots of games for my students to play in the app. And it typically will last at least 3 hours without being charged. (that is constant play) I have two struggles with it though, I really want my students to code it and I am struggling to find the right app to do that. I didn’t realize when I bought it that there’s a difference between a bit and an Evo. The app that is coding looks like it’s for Evo. I will update my review if I figure out how to make it code. It’s also nice that you can use it without technology, there are several mats that you can use that it comes with and you can also build your own with markers. You can also decorate it, but my sixth and seventh graders were not interested in decorating it. I do think that would be cool for a younger kid though. I am noticing that my sixth and seventh graders are starting to grow board with it which surprises me a little. I feel like if I can find the coding app I might be able to get some of my higher achievers. As it stands right now my good programmers will play with it for one class and have fun just playing but they’re looking for something a little more challenging.I think that this would also be great to take to a restaurant, or a place where you know that your child is going to have to sit for a while. I can see a very young child being able to use it because it is so simple, but it does get a little more challenging as you choose the different games on the iPad. Because it is so small and portable and you can charge it off of your phone it would keep a child busy for a while. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the fact that I’m struggling to find the coding part of it.

Very impressive
My son informed me 1 week before Christmas that this was the one thing he really wanted. He had used it at school. I’m always hesitant buying tech toys for the kids because I have a hard time figuring them out and I don’t want them absorbed in the computer. The second he took it out of the box I knew it was worth it. He got it up and working right away and it is a pretty neat thing. I haven’t had to do anything to help him. He loves making different tracks for it.

Really great
This has been the most used robot present, and we've had a few. The kids *think* they want a robot, a dancing robot, a dog robot, a cat robot, but once they get them, it gets boring so fast. This has been played with a bunch and I like that there are more things downloadable from online to give more structured play. Plus it is small and quiet! A parent's dream robot! My 6 year old daughter got this for a gift and has had no trouble getting it going and really likes it. She is a pretty precocious so other 6 year olds may need more hands on help or supervision.

Crawler doesn't crawl
This review is for the crawler. I purchased it thinking it had high reviews but it seems all of the reviews are for the robot, not this accessory pack. This accessory pack is very difficult to put together. I bought this with the hope that it would add a bit more robotics for my class that was already learning coding with ozobot evos. I asked my 6th grade daughter to put it together and she gave up because her fingers were hurting. I put it together myself and I understood why her fingers were hurting. Plus, in every pack there seems to be one piece that just won't connect. The little piece goes flying across the room never to be seen again. I imagined a class full of 4th graders (my intended audience) trying to complete this task and I'm already 75% ready to return it. After I finally completed one (I had to open another bag to replace the piece that went missing), I found it didn't work. No matter how I adjusted the tension screw, the thing never moved. So I built another one, and tried different evo's with it all to no avail. I imagined having this experience with my 4th graders and now I am 150% convinced that I need to return this. I have found Evo's to be inconsistent when using them with the markers, and much more cooperative when coding them with blockly. The crawler takes away all consistency that is gained from using blockly and renders this a frustration factory.

This has been the greatest gift for our grandson ever
This has been the greatest gift for our grandson ever! He learned about it in his elementary school's tech lab and now has his own. We are learning so much together, and he is handling the equipment with great care, bc he loves it so much. It is a really stimulating and great learning tool, while simultaneously lots of fun!

Does Not Hold Interest
My 3rd graders uses this on school at computer lab to learn coding. So this was on their Christmas wishlist. Unfortunately it didn't hold their interest for too long. It worked without a hitch and comes with everything they need in this pack. They drew red and green short lines on the included cards with a pre printed path that the robot went over. That was it. It is not obvious how they learn to code just by completing the preprinted path but it is something I am curious to find out.
