Works!
This worked great for our 2 preschoolers. They both started unbuckling their seatbelt every time that we would get into the car and would latch themselves onto our headrests. Apparently this is common with autistic kids - both of mine are currently being evaluated for SPD & Autism /Aspergers. Of course we tried to explain to the kids the dangers of not wearing our seat belt, we had them talk to some local policemen, we even stopped when driving past a particularly bad car accident so they could get an idea of what happens in an accident (of course it was just the wreckage, no people). None of this worked and it got to where we had to go everywhere alone. Either I would go or my husband would go and the kids would stay home. This worked great, its incredibly easy to set up and neither one of our kids has figured out how to take it off( and trust me - these guys have disassembled many a lock and gate) and it fit our car seat buckles in our Prius V where as another kind of buckle did not. We ordered the 2 pack. A real life saver!

Child can remove easily
I would not use this above the age of two. It does work very well. Plastic is very durable and it's easy to use. Keeps child from unbuckling seat belt. Safety 100% safe and fits great. But if child can twist a bottle cap do not use this product! It is very easy to twist the cap and unlock. This would be appropriate for 2 and younger

Cheaply made. No return policy.
Horrible product. Doesn’t cover a side button like the picture shows and the plastic is pretty flimsy so you can just push it together to pull it off. Besides that the kid doesn’t stay on my developmental delayed son pulled it off in 2.5 seconds. No return policy don’t waste your money.

Not worth the money
Love the idea - easy enough to use but cheap flimsy material makes it almost as easy for the child to use. This kid had it off in a week. Don't waste your money invest in a different kind of you have a child over age 2 or if purchasing for an older child with special needs.

Suprisingly works great!
We have an eight year old with Autism. He is very active and is almost double in height for his age. We had him in a car seat because he could unbuckle his seat belt. I recently purchased a new car and it has built-in booster seats. I really liked that option because it allowed him to get in and out of the car easily and my wife could sit farther back without him kicking the seat. The only problem is he had easy access to the bright red release of the seatbelt. I saw this product on Amazon and took a chance. I was skeptical but took a chance. To my shock it works great for us. The cap is like a medicine cap and you have to press down as you turn to remove it. This may not work for everyone but Ted does not have excellent fine motor skills and this does the trick for us. There is nothing more frightning that to be driving down the highway and have him standing between the front seats. You do need to make sure you tighten the cap as tight as you can. Would recommend for anyone that has a child/young adult with ASD or like that must be more that buckled in safely.

Keeps My Dog Safe
My dog’s safety strap that goes from her travel harness to the seat belt buckle would frequently come unbuckled when my dog would step on the seat belt buckle, accidentally releasing the strap. I bought this item to prevent accidental release of the safety strap. It is easy to use-just put the cover over the seat belt buckle, then slide the safety strap through an opening on the cover as you buckle the strap. To remove the safety strap, unscrew a cap to access the release button of seat belt buckle. My dog has remained safely tethered while traveling in my truck after purchasing this item.

Easy-Peasy
Mine never leave the buckles! They have made an amazing difference and are extremely easy to use and inexpensive! Strongly recommend for anyone who has kiddo's that like to leave their seats before the car is parked!! (Field tested on 5 children for us!)

I needed it for something a little different.
I purchased this for a slightly different use, with my pregnancy I've been sitting on a small piece of the release button and my seat belt was coming off constantly while driving. Having worked in the special needs field, I knew something out there could prevent unintentional seatbelt releases. I bought this for being one of the least expensive "prime" options out there. The mechanics are the same as a prescription lid and when put on correctly you must push down and turn... (I suppose if you really wonder if your child can do it or not ahead of time, give them an empty Rx bottle, and see what happens.) For my purposes I don't really need the lid, I just needed the contraption that goes around the device and that is where my rating comes in. They designed the device (and did not put in the description) that it has a cut down on the side with the RX cap, and folding plastic installed on the buckle side so that not only can you lift up on the contraption to gain access to the buttons, but you can also flip it open when the cap is off. To me this seemed very unnecessary and made it so the buckle cover couldn't be left on the seat belt when the cap wasnt on, which makes it a bit inconvient for traveling purposes... As a parent I would want to only replace the RX cap when my child is in the vehicle and I'd like to be able to keep it on the buckle when not in use (with the RX cap off). \ For my purposes (since I really don't need the cap, just the cover) I taped it together so it couldn't open up. It seems like a highly unnecessary feature on this contraption.
