Pleasant light with a few installation difficulties
Most of these reviews seem to be written by people who know their way around a light fixture. I had no idea how to install a light, but the old fluorescent fixture in the house we just bought buzzed, and if there's anything I can't handle, it's a low droning sound. I first ordered under cabinet light strips from Lighting EVER, but because there was no diffuser, it had those annoying little pinpoints of LED light. It also had an enormous transformer to plug into the wall, which I learned should not be necessary if they choose the right voltage for the lights, even though LEDs draw much less power. So I looked for something with a diffuser and that didn't have a huge transformer. This light was more expensive but could be hardwired and looked more promising. Sure enough, the light it casts is pleasant--bright but not glaring, and no irritating pinpoints. There are two brightness settings; the lower one is plenty bright, though the higher setting is not glaring. I don't actually use the swivel feature (and am a little confused why you would want to swivel the light toward you), but I didn't see a regular version, and the swivel doesnt cause me any problems. I'm ecstatic to have a quiet light over the sink.Installation was not terrible but I did run into frustrations. There are scored holes in the back of the light (called "knockouts" by those in the know), and you are supposed to pick the one closest to the part of the wall where the wires come out. Two issues: 1. The wires inside the fixture reach to only one of the holes, so you don't actually have a choice. I would have liked to use the leftmost hole, but instead I had to pull the wires from the wall out so that they stretched all the way to the middle. It's not the prettiest, but you can't see it unless you climb back there and crane your neck, so whatever. 2. The knockouts are not scored very deep, so actually punching them out is a challenge. I ended up warping the back panel a bit while hacking at it with every available object. Finally brute force won out, but this seems like an easy problem for the company to fix. In addition to the knockout issues, I struggled with fitting the fixture. The incoming wires are supposed to be clamped into this metal thing so that they don't pull out of the fixture, but the metal clamp is bulky, so take note if you don't have much depth. Under normal cabinets it should be fine, but this is a narrower piece of molding above the sink, so I really had to cram it in. At first I worried there was a fire hazard having the metal on wood like that, but my electrical engineer father assured me that it was grounded through the wood so was fine. To actually affix the light, you have to put in two screws, pray they are the correct distance, then slide the fixture onto the holes and over to lock it in place. Not the world's easiest task, but not terrible either--at least if there are two of you.

Excellent High Quality Task Lighting - Installation Not so much
Update June 2019Continue to be super impressed with the quality of this fixture - Not often you can say that after several months of use. Perfect lighting that stays "cool" to the touch no matter how long you leave it on.I did the install using the included 6 foot "plug in" electrical cord so can't comment on the "Hardwire" option. Note that your outlet will need to be 3 Prong (Grounded). My installation was for the credenza on my Computer Desk in home office.Installation appeared to be simple enough as follows:1.) Determine Location2.) Swivel the light enough to provide access to the 2 mounting slots3.) Mark where the screw holes need to go with pencil4.) Use cordless drill to drill "pilot" holes5.) Screw in the 2 mounting screws6.) Attempt to have the 2 screws line up with the slots on fixture7.) Get annoyed at how such a simple task seems pretty much impossible8.) Put fixture back down and "think about it"9.) Repeat steps 6 thru 8 five times making sure that you hold your tongue "just right" and alternate raising your right & left leg10.) Utter several choice cuss words11.) Repeat steps 6 thru 10 five times12.) Make sure that you have married a wife who tends to take pity on you and have her assist13.) Give it 2 more tries (with wife assisting) at which point you will be successful14.) Swivel the light to expose the 2 screw heads and tighten them down securely15.) Plug in fixture and bask in the awesome light provided by this extremely well built - high quality product16.) Provide review on Amazon hoping that manufacturers would discuss with design team an easier mounting solution for their really great product (so as to avoid the "smug" looks from wife)

Nice quality, kind of expensive
Fits the purpose nicely, I might have used an LED strip for 1/10th of the price, but the swivel feature is unique.

Overall a great light
The only knock is I didn't think the light was bright enough. With that being said I do love this light. It's has a metal housing and a glass lens. I also liked the swivel head on the light and you can hardwire or use the included plug. It can also be daisy chained to another similar light fixture. All the needed hardware included.

Overpriced and misleading
The brightness is weak compared to the much cheaper brands which look like they come out of the same factory in China. They also aren't 5000K selectable as the title currently states. Actual 5000k shown for comparison in photo.Sent back and purchased the Parmida for less than half the price with an even slimmer footprint.Still waiting on ASD's swivel to arrive in the mail to compare as well, but will likely stick with a 5000k selectable model which they don't yet offer in swivel.

Excellent company!
I ordered 2 * 18" and one * 12" lights to replace existing CFL light installation when the house was built. The units themselves are very well made IMO. I like the idea of 3 different color temperatures. My wife likes the 2700K "color" although I prefer the 4000K "color".Pretty easy to install in my case as the existing hard wiring was already in the house. The power connectors are housed in the light unit itself, the connectors are just a push-in fitting. Awkward location under kitchen cabinets (for me in my old age) but not the fault of the lights <g>. The units come with 110V power cord and a short (around 5" or so) light to light connection cable for some installations (neither of which I needed).I had a few suggestions for the company (some shorter mounting screws for some cabinets with a shallower base and maybe a template for the holes in the bottom of the cabinets). The company selling the lights is in MO but lights are from China. I wrote to the company with those suggestions. I had a very fast response twice from Chris in MO. Seems like an excellent company to me. Highly recommended. Excellent company!

great swiweling lights with dim feature
I choose these swivel lights with dim features in my kitchen for under the cabinets light. Brightness is excellent, I love that I can swivel the angles to how I need it, having colour tone from warm to cool also a great feature. Also, dim feature gives such a great ambience. Will buy again when moving to the next house.

Criminally Easy to Install
My wife and I decided on this particular light (18" version) for a long overdue under-cabinet light and could not be happier with the results. Note that we purchased a single unit, so we can't speak of how well this works in series with multiple units. Our is also hard-wired, so we don't have anything to say about the "plug-in" experience. As we went with the hardwired route the large number of punch-outs were very welcome, making it possible to mount this exactly as we wanted. Installing this was almost criminally easy. The connectors to link the mains power to the unit are impossible to get wrong. It comes with the mounting screws and Romex connector to complete your hardwired installation. Truthfully, we spent more time deciding where we wanted to mount this than we took to install it.The results are everything we could want. The swivel feature is brilliant, letting us cast the light exactly where we want it. The lighting itself is nice and even. The choice in brightness and warmth are welcome, allowing us to choose the exact lighting we want. The switch is exactly what we need, so we can elect to have this on or off as necessary. It has a fairly low profile, and as our cabinet has a bit of moulding that extends lower than the cabinet proper, the unit itself cannot be be seen when looking at the cabinet head on. You'd never know it was there unless you already knew.We have absolutely no regrets with this unit.

Bad light quality at 2700K.
These were relatively easy to install and worked great with the Lutron smart dimmers. However the light quality is terrible. 2700k looks like piss yellow as if it is a low pressure sodium light. Doesn’t match any of the other 2700K light fixtures I have in my kitchen. I would return these but it feels like a hustle to remove them all. I purchased a few of 12” 24” and 30”. This review stands for all the sizes.
