New BalanceMen's Composite Toe Calibre Industrial Boot

These are very good workboots. I can stand in them all day, even on concrete, without foot fatigue (thank you!).They are synthetic material, manufactured in China. Composite toe which is effective at keeping your toes from being mashed. The soles are good and grippy. I couldn't confirm this from the documentation but the boots feel like they have a steel shank (i.e. a steel bar under the footbed that provides support and stability.) The toe box is wide, which gives your feet room to expand and spread out - another plus.The zippers are YKK branded (a top zipper brand) and they work as they should, with a velcro tab to doubly keep them in place.One point: these are heavy! Like 2.25 pounds per boot heavy (4.5 pounds per paid) That isn't bad and it helps with stability in a work zone. But if you want survival boots or "run around" type boots, be advised of the weight of these. They are designed for standing/some walking, not high aerobic activity. They are excellent for what they are designed for.All in all, these are great!

For a work boot/shoe, these NB boots are one of the more comfortable pairs I have put on my feet. After years in the military and fire/rescue industries, a good, solid, comfortable boot is a rare find and these boots are great. I can go all day in these and my feet aren't sore at the end.

I have personally been a user of New Balance since 2008 when I discovered most of their shoes and hiking boots come in a 4E.Big Fan… This pair with the composite toe didn’t tow the line though in comparison to every other single pair I have ever purchased. Albeit the Toe Box on width was adequate the room from top to bottom with in the Toe Box was not. After wearing for a few hours I had to change shoes. I thought this was because they were new. Second attempt equaled the same result. And when I say I changed out to a different shoe you can bet it was another pair of New Balance Hikers or New Balance Tennis Shoe because New Balance is all I wear on a day to day basis. This particular boot just didn’t work for me although I wish they had. The Zipper on the side is a nice touch and the Boot was well made in appearance. I hope they work for you- it’s a good product form a great company.

These boots look and feel great. My husband has worn them to work every single day since they came in the mail. They are so much better quality than his last boots and they are even lighter and more protective than most he’s had. The overall quality and feel of them definitely matches the price point but they’re 100% worth it.
