The best piece of gear I didn't know I needed.
I watched a whole lot of YouTube channels run by long trail through hikers in advance of my trip to Peru (Hi Dixie and Darwin!). They mentioned sun gloves, and this set in particular. I bought them, not thinking I'd really need them, but boy was I wrong. I hiked 60 miles through the Andes and wore these things every minute, almost always with trekking poles. They protect you from sunburn on your hands, where sunscreen is a pain to deal with. They offer a small amount of warmth and skin protection, perfect for temperatures down into the 30's. They also prevent mosquitoes and biting flies from biting without dealing with insect repellent on your hands (again, problematic).Quality is great, they held up very well and are still in very good shape and I'm certain I will wear again.I don't know that I love the light color... definitely get dirty. But I guess if they were darker they would be hotter, and they are very easy to clean. I usually just washed my hands with them on at the end of a hike, squeezed the water out of them, and hung them up. They dried quickly overnight and were ready for the next hike in the morning.

Best purchase to protect your hands.
For this hiking trip of 3 weeks, I made sure that I had some sun protection for my hands as after the last one it had taken my hands couple of weeks to come back to the same shade of color as the rest of the arms. These gloves were perfect. The weather was hot and sunny and the gloves felt very comfortable. On the 2 days when there was a cold wind, they were more than sufficient and protected my hands from getting too cold. Most of the time it did not feel like I was wearing them. They were comfortable to grip the hiking poles when needed and also kept my hands clean after opening the umpteen number of gates or even when having to sit down to navigate the really wide steps on down hill climbs or when walking through narrow paths lined with hedges and wild flowers. They were easy to hand wash and dried fast. I wore them for 17 days and was glad every day that I had them with me. They are still in good condition after having been both hand [17 times] and machine washed. They are now one of the essential items on the hiking trip packing list.

Ultra-lightweight and comfortable
These gloves are great for fishing if you aren't looking for bulky gloves. They don't offer a ton of protection from lines and hooks, but that's not why you get them. They're comfortable, ultra-lightweight, allow you to feel the action on the line, protect your hands from the sun, and provide a good grip on the rod. They'll eventually wear out, but that's to be expected with heavy fishing and light gear.

Just What I Needed!
I live in Phoenix, & my skin is photo sensitive from all the antibiotics that I have to take for Lyme disease. After burning the sides of my index fingers during a photo shoot, I started looking for sun gloves. These are pretty good. They work -- no more burned fingers. The hems around the ends of the fingers are a little bulky, but I'm not sure how that could be improved. It would be nice if the fingers were a tad longer -- enough to cover the middle knuckles. But the wrist is long enough to be thoroughly under the cuff of a long sleeve shirt. And the non-skid dots on the palms are helpful. There is a chart on the Outdoor Research site that takes the mystery out of sizing. Just be sure to look at the Unisex sizing. I am a 5'6" female, & the small fits me perfectly.

Lightweight effective sun-blockers
I'm a field biologist and avid hiker so tend to hammer my hands with sun in the summer; I also find sunscreen ineffective because it washes and wears off so quickly, and don't like the thought of the chemicals getting into water sources when I wash my hands. These offer fantastic sun protection for hiking in particular, but I'd also consider wearing them on beach walks or other days of high sun exposure. They are very comfortable, featherweight, and don't interfere with anything. I'd give them 4.5 stars if I could because they get dirty pretty easily and the dirt also doesn't wash out easily. Because they are mainly for hiking this isn't a huge issue for me.

Feel great on, palm side dots gives excellent grip on cork handles of walking poles, high visiblity
Excellent gloves. I have a well-worn grey pair of these gloves. What I like about these gloves is the bright color for added visibility. When walking in neighborhoods or high traffic areas, I always wear a reflective vest, gloves, and a flashing light (which I place in the mesh pocket of my backpack). I need all the visibility possible on my walks after a car nearly missed me. Back to the gloves, they feel great. The little dots on the palm size of the glove help me to grip the cork handle of my poles. Very well made. Definitely recommend. My opinion is that Outdoor Research makes high-quality products, and these are one of them.

Perfect for the application. Best I have seen or used.
I have purchased these before and I will again. These are simply the best at doing what I believe they should do. They fit snugly, but comfortably. They are extremely light weight and very cool. They fit the contours of my hands perfectly and the have a bit of non-skid on the palm side. Bottom line these are great. I keep a pair in my various components of outdoor gear so that I will never be in the sun without. My small suggestion for improvement is to add additional non-slip dots to the heal of each hand. Even so, these are the best.

Work well for surfing
I use these gloves for sun protection while surfing. The backs of my hands get gnarly sun damage but I've been reluctant to use sunscreen and risk having my grip become slippery. These work great. Within the first minutes of using them a minute amount of surf wax builds up in the fabric making them ultra grippy against the surface of the board. No slippage issue whatsoever while popping up. I barely notice them while paddling and actually think they give me a slight power advantage. I normally buy large gloves for winter sports, but chose medium for these and they fit with the perfect amount of snugness in the water. Great purchase

Super Handschuhe. Schützen im Sommer die Hände beim Autofahren vor schädlichen UV strahlen.Gut finde ich dass die Handschuhe über das Handgelenk gehen und auch das schützen

Nice Gloves
The gloves are great, but the sizes are not standard, so I had to give them to my wife. You may need one or two sizes bigger!!
