The media could not be loaded.  Looks very real and scares the ducks away. Scaring my wife is a bonus 🤣. For people saying it needs a hook for tethering, go grab some fishing line and some heavy sinkers. Tie it around the mouth, attach the sinkers and voila it's tethered. We have had a pond for 27 years and up until 5 years ago we never saw a blue heron. However for the last 5 years one shows up around the end of April to early May. We know it has eaten fish before we get our protections out. Usually we cover the pond with a net which we find very detracting from what we wish to see. It does work but it is ugly. We also bought a fake heron this year. We read that the alligator decoy was also a good option. We are willing to try several ideas and alternate them around. This alligator head is the perfect size for our pond. It floats in the center with a weight keeping it in the lily leaves. It also appears to be very realistic. It is made well and was delivered promptly. We were happy to have another choice so as not to use the netting to cover the pond.

A tooth was broken leaving a hole in the gator head. I sealed it and its been floating for a couple weeks. Nice otherwise... Update... Left it in all winter. A year later and it still floats! It's pretty faded but keeps the geese out as long as I keep moving it around.

It needs an eyelit on the bottom so you can tie a line to it and let it floot in the center of your pond. i have mine teathered and it floots around looking at the shoreline looking very realestic. if you dont teacher it will up stuck in a corner.

Very realistic looking and solid. However, it does not stay upright in the pool, which was the sole reason we purchased it.

This works extremely well when properly setup.

I placed it in my 20’ deep backyard trout pond and it looked real enough floating around. Then checked two days later and nowhere to be found. I assume it sank. Best check it for leaks in a bucket of water before using it. Disappointing!!!
