GREAT TOY BUT BEWARE
My only warning with this toy is to buy a good pump. I bought it for a holiday and ended up spending the same amount again on a variety of pumps before I found one that worked with it. So 4 pumps and £40 pounds later I managed to find one that actually launches it. This is because of the high pressures involved.Once working it is fantastic. For best results do not attach the streamers to the rockets. They go so high they go out of sight -nothing out there compares to this.Just invest in a heavy duty pump.

Brilliant rocket!
I didn't have particularly high expectation of this rocket as had tried "chemical" rocket previously (launched once... lost in woods!) That said, it is actually quite spectacular and even has a great whhhoooosshhhh noise. It works on basis of building up pressure behind a replaceable membrane using a fairly meaty bike pump (not supplied). When the pressure is sufficient the membrane bursts and releases a huge burst of high pressure air to the rocket head... then whhhooossshh.. it goes way off into the stratosphere. You can vary the and number of the membrane discs to get the rocket to go higher. Obviously this needs more pump pressure.I would suggest just using, or at least starting with the lowest pressure membrane discs as it's very easy to lose sight of the rocket and therefore lose the rocket heads, which is eventaully what happened to us.This is a great gadget toy, would recommend getting a load of extra rocket heads. Even though our garden is quite large it didn't take long to lose them.

Huge fun
I bought this for my son's 7th birthday and he loves it! You need to have a decent bicycle pump to operate it, but it has amazing results - we couldn't believe how high the rockets went and my son enjoyed experimenting with different discs to see how high he could make the rocket go. A great fun toy.

Rocket
Product arrived on time and as described. The toy itself is rubbish, bearly worked when you put the extra discs in to make it go higher. Its not fun, and would never by anything like this again. The only impressive thing about it is that something so flimsy can produce something that goes so high. Overall rubbish.

Great fun

air rocket
Air Burst rockets are simple to set up and launch but they are very impressive as they fly extremely high. The rockets are quite durable as long as they land on reasonably soft ground. I found each rocket lasts about 20-30 flights.

fantastic gift for boys of all ages!
This was given to my ten year old son on his birthday but his father and godfather were equally excited by the prospect of its launch. With the spare valves we were all able to have a go at a family party and its popularity was universal. The rockets ascend almost out of sight and take several seconds to return to the ground. Using the thickest valves, my son needed assistance with increasing the pressure using the pump but this increased its appeal and play-value. Overall it is easy to use, the rockets can be retrieved (so long as the area of use is a wide open space)and so it has repeated use and is fun for everyone to watch. Brilliant! It does need to be taken to a large area though; not suitable for a small back garden.

next Stop the Moon.
Having experienced a number of educational toys that promise comparable performance to the real thing I was a tad unsure how successful the Air Burst Rocket would be, its just a foam rocket and a pump right! However having set up and fired countless times over the holiday period with my son and daughter I can confirm it is brilliant. Easy to put together and easy to launch and boy does this thing fly! Well worth considering for any budding rocket scientist or parent where the inner child is just crying out for something that you would have loved when you were a kid. One word of warning the rocket needs a good quality pump to get the air pressure up, initial experiments with the car foot pump had limited success, however with the introduction of a new floor pump from the local bike shop success was guaranteed.
