We had no trouble with this machine, it worked great for our daughter's birthday party. However, I will say that I had envisioned a room full of bubbles for her party & it definitley didn't provide that. We probably would have needed at least 3 machines for that. The kids had a great time chasing them around anyhow.

I purchased this bubble machine for when my grandkids are over.I watch two full-time.Who doesn't love bubbles?! It is a little loud , but no louder then the one this one is replacing, one made by "gazillion bubbles. I am replacing it because the other one design flaw is the angle they made the feet causes it to tip over much too easy , and it doesn't have a handle. After using this one , I like that this one comes with a power cord , you can still use batteries , I choose not to. The design flaw I FIND in this VISUAL EFFECTS BUBBLE MACHINE " is the reservoir where you pour the liquid bubbles does not separate from the machine , nor does the rotating wands. But I simply ,yet carefully rinse the wands and reservoir with cold water . Hot water just causes the liquid to produce bubbles. Then I just give it a good wipe .There is a drop down handle in the top of the machine for carrying it .It pulls up and slides right back down into the top of the machine .It weighs practically nothing . It measures at 5 1/2" high ,by about 7" wide and 8" in length. The battery compartment is also on top of the machine just behind the handle. The power cord is 6' long . The blower on it is quite strong , so it makes lots of bubbles, JUST use a great bubble liquid . A liquid that makes a "gazillion " bubbles . I have had very many bubble machines , I would gladly 5 star this one if it had a removable reservoir . THANKS FOR READING , BYE. ***UPDATE, SEPT 11 ,2014 , THIS MACHINE IS STILL HANGING TOUGH. Horrible item, gave it the benefit of the doubt considering the positive reviews however machine broke after 2 uses within a month. Was kept indoors and unplugged when not in use, never dropped, never hit anything, nothing. Just decided to quit. Very upset, Amazon doesn't care because I passed their return window.

The machine arrived broken (Fall of 2013). I returned it and a new one was sent to replace it. It worked ok when plugged in. When using the batteries (which is why I selected this model- to have a cordless option), it was slow and the battery life didn't last long. I got frustrated with it and shelved it. I pulled it off the shelf last weekend and it doesn't work at all anymore. If you're looking for bubble equipment that is sturdy and will last, this is not your product. If you want a bubble machine that will make it through one event, this might work ok for you.

I am pleased with the bubble machine and more so with the price. I needed something to jazz up my holiday party and it was definitely a huge hit! My only disappointment was when the product arrived and it looked like it had been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse for a very long time. I am not sure what year this model of bubble machine was manufactured. But, overall I am very pleased with the product and the seller's timeliness of shipping it to me. The absolute best feature of this machine is that it runs on either a/c adapter which is included or 2 "C" batteries.

Bought this machine to use outside of our store specifically because it was battery operated. Machine worked well for about 8 months then started slowing down to the point were the fan wouldn't produce enough air to blow bubbles. I thought the problem might be the rechargeable batteries that we use, however purchasing new alkaline batteries and operating on AC power yielded the same results. I shopped around for another battery operated bubble machine to replace this one, however I couldn't find anything with an adequate sized bubble reservoir that would work to meet our needs, so I ended up ordering another Visual Effects V9905 machine and hope that I can get more than 8 months of use out of it.

Purchased the bubble machine for my day care kids. (keeps them from being tempted to drink the bubble stuff!)They love it! There are milions of bubbles and because it is not battery operated it will pump the bubbles as long as they want to chase them!Well worth the price, although you need to be stocked up on the bubble liquid---it will go through a bit if the kids play with it for long!! Still--what a great exercise program!

Bought this for my kids, they were unimpressed. It produces so few bubbles. Even tried a few other bubble brands. My neighbor has one she got at Target for around $10, it is tiny, super cheap looking and runs on AA batteries, but it is like a bubble blizzard.Returning this one today.
