Drevo Keyboard: A Hidden Gem for Linux Admins and Typists Alike
I’ve had my Drevo keyboard for a few years now, and it has become an indispensable part of my daily routine, especially with Linux administration. Most of my conversations and commands with ChatGPT have been typed on this keyboard. Here’s why I absolutely love it and why Drevo deserves recognition for creating such a stellar product.Reliability and CustomizabilityDespite its affordable price, this keyboard is incredibly reliable. The stock keycaps and switches were top-notch right out of the box. I had brown switches installed, and they were so good that I still use them in other keyboard mod projects today. The switches and keycaps are easily swappable, allowing for endless customization. Recently, I upgraded them not because they were lacking, but to give my beloved keyboard a fresh, new feel.Durability and Ease of MaintenanceOne of the standout features is the durability of the switches. After extensive use, the brown switch for my "C" key, which sees a lot of action due to frequent copy-pasting, started to feel a bit worn. A simple cleaning restored it to its original performance, showcasing the ease of maintenance this keyboard offers.Overall ExperienceTyping on this keyboard feels fantastic. The tactile feedback from the brown switches makes every keystroke satisfying. Whether I'm scripting in the terminal or writing a detailed review like this, the experience is consistently enjoyable.Final ThoughtsAlthough it seems this model is no longer available, I wanted to express my gratitude to Drevo for creating such an excellent keyboard. It’s been a reliable and customizable companion in my tech journey, and I highly recommend it to anyone who finds one. I hope Drevo continues to maintain this level of quality in their future products.Thank you, Drevo, for crafting a keyboard that stands the test of time and enhances my typing experience every day.

Solid keyboard for the price | TKL version with Outemu Browns
When I saw you could get this TKL keyboard for around $50 I was blown away. Started reading the reviews and I was convinced.Pros:Almost no flex at allSolid to type onBraided cableDecent customizable softwareDecent function keysVERY little key wobbleCons:No detachable cableThe characters for the keycaps are a little too gamer-ey for meBackspace, Enter, and a few other keys have a very metallic almost springy sound when pressedThis could be fixed with a piece of foam between the place and the PCB but not that big of an issueOverall:Absolutely solid for the price. My biggest complaints are the lack of a detachable cable and the font on the key caps was not really my style. Beyond that it cost $50 so you really can't complain. I bought a new key cap set for mine and that helped the overall experience greatly.

$200 keyboard with a $59.99 price tag
The media could not be loaded. This keyboard is by far one of my favourite I've ever purchased. I previously purchased a Drevo Calibur for travel purposes and was impressed by the quality, so I decided to go for the Tyrfing V2 when I saw it here. This keyboard exceeded my expectations, it has features that you won’t find in a board even double the cost.Build Quality – The board uses an aluminum backplate with a thick plastic shell. I was expecting to get the typical pinging noise you get from some cheaper keyboard but surprisingly there is none, even from somebody like me who bottoms out every keypress. This is fantastic as I’ve had to return keyboards in the past that ping. The absolute only downside to this keyboard is the fact that the cable is non-removable, although it does have three exit channels.Switches – I got the Outemu Brown version which I am pleased to say is very similar to Cherry MX Brown except that the Outemu has a slightly more pronounced tactile bump – a plus, in my books. I’d almost say it’s a slightly lighter Cherry MX Clear.Keycaps – This was my only complaint about the Calibur – it had keycaps that were coated with a soft-touch coating and I was worried it would not hold up well. The Tyrfing V2 uses good doubleshot ABS keycaps with a slight grainy texture which feel and look amazing. I was originally planning on removing the keycaps when I received the board but now I’m leaving them on.Backlighting – The colours are vibrant with many brightness settings. The integrated modes are kind of neat, but I myself prefer the solid colour options. The keyboard software works great, on par with offerings from major retailers.I’m very impressed with this keyboard and will be recommending the Drevo name from now on.
