Dualit 4 Slice Lite Toaster in Black 46205

Rubbish. And the second one I've bought in a year and the heating element is burnt on on both. I like the toaster a lot, especially as it's the only one I found where you can lift and inspect the toast during toasting without resetting the timer, but the first one burnt out in six months, and now the second after three months. Will never bye it again. Now I have effectively two single toasters instead of two doubles. Just for info I use it once a day making 4 slices of toast, so hardly over use.

Tends to toast opposite sides at different rates. Toasting items need turning during process for best results. Disappointing as my previous model worked perfectly for many years.

after 58 years of hearing "this toast is only done on one side or its burnt two slices and the other slices are still white" !! idecided to buy the Dualit toaster I always wanted so far its doing fine . no more complaints yet!!

Really disappointed in this product as I expected so much more. As in other reviews the bread doesn’t toast evenly. It’s the most expensive toaster I’ve bought and can honestly say it’s no better than a toaster half it’s price. Being able to check how well the toast is done is a useful feature though.

I am not impressed with my Dualit Lite, purchased August 2016. I bought it because I had had my silver 2 slot Dualit for 24 years, and when one of the elements failed after about 15 years, I was able to,replace it easily and inexpensively. I wanted a new toaster because the element had gone again and I figured I’d had my money’s worth plus wanted a fourmslot, with slots wide enough to take bagels and with a defrost function as well. So, when Costco had them on offer at £59.99 including VAT, I bought my Dualit Lite 4 slot. Did not like the Cinnamon Red colour, but it was only available (at Costco) in that colour, so went ahead. Very impressed until today, when one of the elements simply refused to work. As the guarantee was only one year, I rang Dualit customer services for advice. They could not help at all as the element in this model in not replaceable. The best they could offer was 34% off any of their models of toaster - the plastic Lite one is not available from them online! The metal one, which is of similar quality to my old one, is £100 so even with £34 off it would still be £66, which is more than I want to spend. So, I will check out other brands and buy one with the same size slots, so that I can still use my Dualit sandwich cages, which I bought specially for my Dualit Lite. Annoyed that it has only lasted 17 months, especially since we don’t even have toast more than two or three times a month!
