Outstanding. Highly Recommend
I have this and its been great. Loud but perfect. I use two batteries and have it hanging on plastic coated wire on a pulley system in between two trees over my deer lane. I would recommend ordering two other pieces to make life easier. The first the Moutlrie Internal Funnel for Deer Feeders (hard plastic). Follow the directions and coat the seam at the top between the funnel and barrel with silicon. The other is the Ultramatic 30 Gallon Metal Lid. Fits on high and makes adding feed easier and quick. They guys there are the best. We had some issues with the postal service sending my lid back saying the address wasn't correct. The guys at Ultramatic called to let me know and resent.

easy to install
This feeder works great however you must order the funnel separately. I don't under stand why it is not included with the feeder. It could be shipped inside the drum and save the shipping. The feeders also hold water on the lid and this tend to rust or cause you to get water inside and clog up the feeder. POOR DESIGN. You can also get a free bath if not careful. We purchased 55 gal drum lids and turned them upside down on top of the feeder and solved the problem. Moultrie could fix this problem pretty easily. Battery life is excellant. We use Duracell batteries and get more than a year before they start to get weak and your spread start to reduce. I recommend changing once a year

The feeder mechanism is best part
Overall, the feeder is a good product, but the feeder mechanism is the best part. With room for two batteries and ease of programming from a hanging position, this is the best aspect of what arrives. Now for the improvements needed and general save yourself some time advice......there is no gambrel included, so buy the cheapest one available. Also, the gambrel will not reach the hanging loops, so you need two aluminum carabiners on each side at a cost of $16 or sufficient chain and connecting links. Point is....there is more cost to pay before you hang it. There is no funnel included, so Moultrie can sell you one on the side for $25 which is rather poor on their part for the overall price. Without a funnel, the feeder will not fully empty. If you buy the funnel, get two 2.5" stainless steel pan head #8 screws and matching wing nuts. The barrel comes predrilled with five holes. The larger, outer three are used to mount the feeder mechanism. The two inner ones will allow you to mount the pan head screws/wing nuts I spoke of. Why can't Moultrie simply include these at minimal cost? These two screws will keep the funnel from shifting when you pour corn in the feeder. If the funnel shifts and does not fully line up over the hole, it won't throw corn! The paint is thin, and $10 for a can of Herculiner bedliner truck paint for the barrel is a smart move. Do NOT use the Moultrie top that comes with it. Even with bedliner and other paint, it is concave and will collect water, eventually rusting and pissing you off. Do NOT buy the $30 Moultrie 30 gallon quick lid, as it is simply plastic, and squirrels will eat through it. Instead, go to Ultramatic feeders and buy their $30 galvanized top for 30 gallon feeder. It simply replaces the Moultrie lid and clamp/sealing band. It is also heavy enough not to be moveable by squirrels, wind, etc. Refilling the feeder is now a function of how high you can lift bags, meaning you don't have to lower feeder all the way to the ground to remove the lid/band that Moultrie includes. Just remove the galvanized lid, pour corn, and raise it back up. I've had two of the feeders for 3 years and have just bought a third. While I'm pleased overall, the true cost of the feeder is much more than what is listed here. That being said, if a feeder is ever broken, I feel certain I could replace whatever part is needed without having to buy a complete feeder again.

Solution to Preventing Water Accumulation on Top
I have had this feeder for about six months and it works great. I also separately purchased a HME Gambrel to hang the feeder, a Moultrie Internal Funnel, and a Moultrie MFHP 12406 battery. I am happy with all three items. The perfect solution to prevent water from accumulating on top of the feeder is to purchase a Rubbermaid Brute 20 gallon lid #FG26190. It snaps securely on top of the flat metal lid that comes with the feeder and fits within the Gambrel. I purchased the lid on Amazon for $8.65 in August of 2019. This combination of items has served me well.

Motor didn't last, check the return policy that goes with the warranty.
Overall, a great feeder. Everything held up just fine, it worked great, but the motor corroded and seized up after three years. Lifetime warranty though, right? The only problem is that you need to pack the whole unit up, drum and all, and ship it to them, at your own expense, and pay for them to ship it back. Moultrie won't just sell you a replacement motor. I asked. A new feeder kit is eighty bucks. By the time I pay for the two way shipping and spend my time fooling with it, well the warranty doesn't help me any. If I can't find a motor that will fit somewhere else, I'll probably just buy a new kit and consider it a hunting expense, but it's disappointing that they won't just sell me a motor. I'm still pretty happy with the performance of the product overall.

Moultrie Pro Magnum 30 Gal., Hanging Deer Feeder with Digital Timer.
Arrived on time, and pretty much as described. There is not a metal hanging bar included. But I knew this! So it is not an issue with me. Easy to put together, as all holes were factory pre-drilled. Just pay attention to what ya are doing and ya should have to ready to run in about 12 to 15 minutes. Really like the option of running 2 batteries if ya want to. Wish Moultrie had thought about providing a lid that would not hold rain and or ice. I did make a couple of changes on my own. #1. Replaced the flat washers with 1/4" lock washers, #2. replaced wing nuts with 1/4" x 20 thread nuts. #1 and #2 are used to hold the timer and slinger to the drum. There could be a buildt in cone to help with feed that gets left in the feeder. Again not a real issue with me in this. Setting the digital timer was a breeze,.... even for me and I'm "Old School", no technology knowledge. All and all this is a great little 30 gallon metal drum feeder. I would recommend this product to others looking for a solid hanging type feeder. I feel it will be around for several years of hunting!

Very Good Hanging Feeder
Very sturdy and well made. Hangs easily once you decide on which system you’ll use for raising and lowering. I went with a boat trailer hand winch attached to a tree for quick raising and lowering. Works very well. Bungee corded a 30gal steel garbage can lid over the top to address the pooling water on the recessed lid that othes have mentioned. It’s now water, bear, raccoon and squirrel proof. Wide selection of timer options for dispensing feed in about a 15ft radius from center. Recommended if you’ve got a variety of crafty animals that love to raid the feeder.

Product great, condition after shipping not as good.
The product is as good or better than what I thought it would be based on other reviews. The issue I have is that the box was almost falling apart and there is paint chipped off the drum in many spots. Even the box for the feeder motor inside the drum is falling apart. It's like it was a returned product once and they did a poor job of repacking it before they shipped it out.
