Do not use to extend line for your ADSL
Reduced my connection speed on Draytek vigor 130.Cable quality is bad, it is also more expensive than Cat6e RJ45 of the same length. Absolutely no reason for using it, as RJ45 electrically compatible with RJ11This solution turned out to be better and _cheaper_Socket <=> ADSL cable 0.3m <=> RJ45 coupler <=> 3m cat6e cable <=> RJ45 coupler <=> ADSL cable 0.3m <=> Router.

1m looks nice, but didn't make any difference to download speeds.
I bought two different lengths, 1m and 2m, which were dispatched from different companies. Both were advertised as Kenable, but the difference in quality was remarkable. The 1m cable, which I did actually buy from Kenable looks like the photo, i.e. moulded plugs, and feels like a nice quality cable. It made no difference to my download speeds though. The 2m cable which has the same description as this one but with 2m instead, (came from another company, who presumably were cheaper at the time), looks identical to the cheap thing that was bundled with my modem. The connectors are the sort of thing that you could fit yourself if you bought a kit. Not surprisingly it also made no difference to my download speeds. I doubt that it actually is a Kenable, but if it is beware of their variable quality.

Performs as required
I had to buy a new cable to connect an extra sky box to the phone line and was intrigued by reviews saying this cable made the connection speed faster, which I thought unlikely, but as I needed an extra cable thought I would try this out and compare to my present cable. My present cable was a normal ADSL cable connecting to a Sky router, and my spped averaged around 6.5Mb with the current cable, so tried the new cable and the speeds came out as exaclty the same, as I expected. Perhaps other reviewers had a poor cable to start with and so noticed a difference in speed. This cable is as good as the cable I already had and so will now go to it's final resting place in the back of the new sky box.

Helped me increase broadband speed by reducing line noise interference
Replacing the supplied basic BT Infinity Broadband (VDSL) line cable with this superior twisted pair cable improved ( in my case) the broadband speed by approx 3 megabits per second which all helps. In other situations it of course it will depend on whether the particular connection is affected in the same way by line interference (from either internal or external forces) and may have a lower impact on a slower speed ADSL line - but the low cost makes it worth a try. Mine turned out to be badly affected by interference from an auxillary line extension and was further improved by fitting the official Openreach MK3 VDSL faceplate which filters and isolates any line extensions. So now happy with the improved speeds from the two solutions.

Massive increase in connection speed when used in conjunction with new socket
It's a bit hard to tell just how much difference to our broadband is down to this socket, as a number of other changes were made at the same time. We changed to BT from Plusnet, started using the BT router and moved it so that it was plugged into the main socket. That gave us an immediate 50% increase in speed. Since installing this cable and an open reach socket GENUINE BT Openreach - MK3 2014 Version - vDSL Interstitial Faceplate, ADSL Filter & I-Plate / iplate, Replaces NT2000 / NT2005 and iPlate, ADSL / ADSL2 / BT Infinity Compatible our speed is now over 300% better. It's also more than twice as fast as next door according to a Broadband speed test site although we are both on BT. Now I don't know anything about their set up but I really couldn't be happier with the apparent results of fitting these two items. Best £13 I've spent in ages.

Good quality excellent price.
What can I say it's as advertised, a good quality lead that does exactly what it's meant to. I ordered the 5M lead and it arrived as a round cabled lead, I note that in some reviews it has been a flat cable but they seem to be mostly shorter leads so that might be it. Worked perfectly for my Talktalk router on 80Mb/s connection with no loss of speed.

Did exactly what it said on the tin
Like many people, I was looking for an easy and cheap way to move my Smart Hub away from the Openreach faceplate to a more convenient location. I have fibre broadband and was getting 70Mbps over ethernet when my Smart Hub was connected via the short BT supplied cable.Free delivery was very quick and I installed the new cable this morning. It is precisely 10m as advertised, which enabled me to move the router to the far side of my hall in a more central location for better Wifi reception in my solid walled 1930s house.I ran a second speed test via ethernet once installed and there was no drop off in speed whatsoever. So this cable did exactly what I wanted. The end result is that over Wifi, I am now getting -60 dBm or better in every corner of my house thanks to a much better positioned Smart Hub
