TF Gear Camping Sandwich Toaster Grill, Cooks Toasties, Breakfast and More! Ideal for Fishing

I ordered two of these for use in my campervan for use on the gas hob. With next to no culinary skills and even less interest in cooking, I'd always felt confined to mostly bacon while camping off-grid (ie without mains power) in my campervan until I spotted this pan and wondered if I could expand my repertoire. After a month on the road, it's been thoroughly put to the test and produced toast within a few minutes (whereas using my van's grill would take about 20 minutes per slice), crumpets, burgers, fresh wet fish, breadcrumbed prepared fish from supermarkets and even frozen fish fillets. The pan can reach oven temperatures of 220°C internally making it almost the equivalent of oven-baking for small items. It's taken some experimentation with cooking times but has greatly expanded my camping diet without having to use any of my sadly-lacking creativity or imagination.For info:* Toast - 3-4 minutes on high heat turning regularly* Bacon - 3-4 minutes on high heat turning regularly (sausages can be added but take a few minutes extra to cook to taste)* Crumpets, 2 crumpets plus 2 halves fit in the pan - 6-8 minutes on medium heat, turning every 2 minutes* Breadcrumbed fresh fish, choose thin fillets - cook for 15-20 minutes using high heat for the first 5 minutes then low heat for the remaining 10-15 minutes turning every 2-3 minutes* Frozen fish fillets - cook on high heat for 5 minutes per side then about 15 minutes on low heat, turning every 3-5 minutesThe pan is brilliant. Well made, well designed, easy to flip over and its non-stick finish is exactly that and nothing at all has stuck to it making for very easy cleaning with limited facilities. Very highly recommended to anyone cooking on the most basic camping facilities including a simple single-ring gas hob including gas-canister hobs.

Brilliant, love this fryer, I’ve not seen any mention of frying eggs, but it fries them perfectly, try this: brush a bit of oil on both the non stick surfaces, put the fryer on the hob for 1m 30s, on high, remove the pan and turn it over so the hot surface is on top, crack an egg onto the lower pan (still cold), return to the hob on high for a minute, (the radiant heat from the top pan cooks the top of the egg). Remove from hob, take a look and check it’s to your liking, cook for longer if preferred. (You could flip the pan but that’s not necessary if you have pre heated the top.)Tips: 1 Take care not to overheat the pan because this could damage the Teflon surfaces.2 Get a cheap infra red thermometer, it’s so useful if you want check temperature and get repeatable results3 If using a glass hotplate the pan handles need to be placed diagonally overhanging the edge of the hotplate otherwise the fryer will not sit flat.4 For my hob heating the pan on high for 1m 30s takes the pan surface to 200C, turn pan over heat the other side, then turn the hob down to 2, turn the pan regularly to maintain the cooking temperature on both surfaces.

This is very good as we have no grill in our campervan so we have done toast for breakfast, we have also done toasties and chips. Very versatile.

Admittedly, bit sceptical about whether or not this would work but it is spot on. Only tried toastie option (which is what I bought it for anyway) and I was not disappointed, pictured is a ham, cheese and spring onion toastie and it was delish (even if I do say so myself!), I don't think you need to but I buttered the bread on the outside to make it a bit more crispy!When finished I let it cool down, in honesty I think you could give this a wipe over with a damp cloth to clean it the non-stick is perfect, but as I was doing the washing up everything got cleaned together. It's quite compact and slimline so it doesn't take up loads of space. It will definitely be packed for more caravan adventures, a great cooking utensil, I'm well impressed!

Bought one for use in our motorhome, tried it at home when it arrived & might have to buy another! Flipping brilliant! Cooked bacon & tomatoes, no spitting or splashing & cooked in half the time it takes to heat up my traditional grill. Good quality & easily cleaned & doesn’t break the bank! What’s not to like!

Now this is a useful piece of kit when we camp.It fits 2 ciabattas in side by side perfectly. Great for garlic bread with our spag bol camping staple meal. Also use for bacon, sausage.Very good quality only thing I have to keep hold of it when on my camping stove or it slides off but that's no bother.Love that you can keep handles locked shut by an easy flip metal fastening to flip the pan over. Also keeps the food hot until everything is ready when you keep it closed

Took this camping this year several times - its a real must have if you like to vary your meals...You can cook meats in it, but our favourite meal was toasties. Really easy to do and worked well on our camping stove. Also made toast in the morning. Very versatile and easy to clean. Don't go camping without it...

I use this when away in my camper. It fits neatly on one of my hob burners and consequently the hob stays clean. I have cooked bacon in it and also done a cheese toastie. I have also used it outside on my cadac gas bbq for sausages - again it keeps everything clean. Easy to wash but would be easier if the 2 halves came apart at the hinge like the new Ridge Monkey does. Having said that given how cheap it is compared to the Ridge Monkey I would buy this every time.

Economica, la uso tutti i giorni da un anno per i toasts ed è intatta.
