Dissapointing in some aspects
Moto GP 06 makes it's debut on the 360 and to be honest I was a little dissapointed with it, don't get me wrong, it's still a good game but judging it from past efforts and the leap to the 360 I was expecting more. Some of the things I found dissapointing were the handling, it has been dumbed down, it just feels too easy, and arcadey, there is no weight in the bike anymore, ideal for beginners perhaps, but for those who liked the earlier Moto GP games, this is a step backwards, also they have edited the Extreme tracks, for speeds sake, again this was a mistake, in chopping off the slow bends that broke up the track in an attempt to make an all out constant speed sensation, the game becomes boring, theres no buzz anymore of slowing down for a corner, or taking that bend at speed when it is risky to do so and getting that satisfaction from clean cornering, its just too easy because they've streamlined it. The idea might have sounded good on paper but it's become boring and without challenge, there's no satisfaction there. The graphics don't wow you either, of course they are better, but not a great deal different from the past games on Xbox, and what annoyed me was the terribly fake looking on bike view, it has less detail and realism in the windshield view than the very first Moto GP game did, it's no good having a better looking environment when your windshield and dash look low on pixel detail, the two don't match. The game does offer 3 new tracks over the last game, 2 new tracks for the season, and one extreme track in california by the coastline, in fact that's my fave extreme track in the game, some of the tracks that were at night in the last game such as Rio and Tokyo are now in the daytime, which gives them a totally different feel. The game gives you a choice to play either the 2005 or 2006 season, (the last Moto GP game was of the 2004 season, even though it was released in 2005) so that's not bad, two seasons and the extreme tracks, everything is pretty much the same as the last games after that, the games set out in the same way, with the distribution of points to upgrade your bike, and the prize money to buy more bikes and upgrades for the Extreme mode.To sum it up, you will enjoy this game and have fun with it, but perhaps not as much as you'd think because the earlier games in the series, graphics aside, were actually better.

The Definative Motorcycle Race Game
What can I say about MotoGP 06. Visually and soundwise everything is spot on. With several different challenges to be completed and all at different skill levels there is a lot of gameplay to be had from this title, and thats not including the on-line challenges. What is more impressive for me, as an older gamer in his late 40's, the game can be tailored to suit everybodies ability. Something that is often overlooked and at best a hit and miss affair in many racing games. The game is challenging but you get a real sense of making progress. The bikes themselves do look a little to similer with variation mainly being in art work, but then again, this is true to the real thing. There are a wide selection of tracks, both real ones for the GP mode, and made up tracks for the Extreme mode, and don't be put off by the title 'Extreme'. All the extreme tracks are more then managable by even a novice, with them tending to be more 'technical' in their layout, with lots of undulating sections, negative camber courners and needing a tight race line to do well on. But you also get to race the 600cc class bikes on these tracks, and those are a dream to ride for a gamer of my limited ability. To summerize. A top notch game in all areas, and if you have never played a motorcycle racing game before but fancy trying one then this is the title to have.

Moto GP - best motorsport in life and on the xbox!!
Being a fan of Moto GP only for about a year, and after finding the xbox version a bit too hard to warrant more of my attention, it was with a certain amount of trepidation that I bought this game at the wishes of my girlfriend who is a much bigger fan than I am. How wrong I was!!It took me only a few hours to master the controls and now I'm able to try my hand around all of my favourite cirquits that I've seen on Eurosport and in person. Don't let previous control difficulties put you off, this game is a lot more playable than the old xbox version, but still difficult in pro mode to keep you interested, and in champion mode to keep you amazed at what the lines and speed the real life riders are able to manage. With the lack of a formula 1 game on any format, this it truly THE simulation racing game if you are interested in motorsport. If you are into bikes then this is worth getting a 360 for. I don't know how they can much improve in the 07 version other than Rossi's new livery?!

Top quality.
Can't fault anything. Great price and the box, booklet and most importantly the game disc all in excellent condition. Well packaged. Not sure why people give low stars if they don't like a game. Review games for the physical quality of the product/packaging etc duh.

It could be so good!
The graphics are fantastic and so is the game when practicing and qualifying for a race. Unfortunately this game, like its xbox predecessors still suffers from the weakness of other bikes being able to corner more quickly and knocking the user off over and over again. Pity bcause this could be the best game on a 360.
