Twins who terrified others.
After watching a series on these brothers and others like them , I was interested in what they had to say. Well written and interesting. Doesn’t make you want to read cover to cover but again interesting.

Fascinating but flimsy
A fascinating read but all it does is confirm how much the twins wanted to cover up about their sordid criminal life. I've read several other books from people inside the Kray firm and in "Our Story", most of the violence and crime is glossed over/ not even mentioned. There are always going to be people who glorify the Kray twins (and this book definitely helps cast a sympathetic light on them) but if you want to dig more deeply into just how manipulative and violent they were, especially Ronnie, then I'd recommend reading some of the other accounts of their activities in the 60's. Having said this, it was interesting to read, in their own words, how much they wanted to say and... how much they didn't want to say!

As saying always proves book is better than the movie.

Great book
Great book however you do get the impression they were treated harshly by the state for the crimes they committed. For sure their biggest mistake was doing their own dirty work.A great insight into the very different life of a villain

Wimps in jolly old London
Excellent !The true story of how 2 gay guys without guns frightened all of London.Clearly shows how wimpy the British are. These guys wouldn't make it 2 nights in ChicagoThey were the inspiration for the Warren Zevon tune..........

"Life Is Good; The Alternatives Lack Appeal" — Ronnie Kray
I was eager to read the Krays' own story and I got a good deal on the book. Delivery was fine with not the slightest hitch. The book? Well... the book... I don't want to spoil it for you but this is definitely the Krays' story *from their perspective* and, much as I don't wish to impugn the dead, may come across as a little biased. It's an easy read and interesting but not really the dynamite I was expecting. Perhaps I set my expectations too high, I dunno. Anyway, it is worth a read, but some of the other biographical accounts of the notorious twins' lives might contain more drama and action and thereby be more what you're looking for.

Fascinating read
This was a fascinating insight into the life of a crime family. While I was kept entertained from start to finish, and really enjoyed how the two brothers' stories were related alternatively one chapter at a time, I started to become weary of the element of 'poor me' that crept in. These guys were criminals and though I understand they had their ethics in a kind of thieves' honour way, there was a theme of 'everyone's out to get us' running through the story.Still, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the Peaky Blinders TV series.

bad guys we hate to love
fascinating story from the real people .... Chapters took turns between the two brothers so we get both of their perspectives. bad guys we hate to love . Makes me realize how true to life the movie LEGEND was Not too embellished for dramatic effect. Fast read.
