Dependable 100 watt bicolor COB LED light
Review for: "ZHIYUN CINEPEER CX100 100w COB Led Video Light Bi Color 2700K-6500K with Battery, ZY Mount Continuous Output Lighting"Zhiyun Cinepeer XC100 is a newly released spec down version of the popular Molus X100.What it differ compared to X100:1. Less solid build quality (mostly plastic compared to metal)2. Fixed battery (not detachable)3. No bluetooth, cannot be control remotely4. No LED screen display (only 4 LED bar)5. No audio inputOther than that it is a basic bi-color LED, but with high quality light output comparable to its older brother.I tested it using internal battery, USB-C power bank and 24 volt power bank:1. CRI is 97.2 meets the claimed value of 972. Using the provided reflector, it gives 27,500 lux @ 1 meter 5,440 K (maximum brightness color temp)3. There is no risk of flicker, it runs on very high frequency4.Color temperature is adjustable stepless from 2,817 K to 6,790K (about the claimed range 2,700K - 6,500K)5. Adjustable brightness from 3,680 lux to 26,800 lux measured @ 1 meter with reflector (@ 5,440 K)6. Brightness adjustment dial is about linear and correspond (approximately to the % scale): lowest. - 3,680 lux 20 %. - 7,710 lux 40 % - 12,630 lux 60 %. - 18,280 lux 80 %. - 24,550 lux 100%. - 27,500 lux This measurement is just experiment purpose only, the dial has no exact point, so it is error proneI test with USB-C power bank that rated 100 watt PD (20 V @ 5 A) with USB-C cable rated at 240 watt the result is approximately the same with the internal battery. The interesting thing is, when I used 24 volt power bank (rated at 80 Wh) it consistently produced 28,500 lux (slightly better than the internal battery) while at the same time charging the internal battery. Very impressive. I think the USB-C circuitry is the same as internal battery, while the direct 24 V DC input have slightly different tolerance to allow more juice to the COB.Overall I am very happy with this CX100, and even order the optional Bowen mount adapter to use it with my light modifier. Good job Zhiyun.

It is difficult to control the brightness.
The light is good and gives brightness even in sunlight.. but its degrees cannot be controlled.. for example, it goes down from 100% to 80% then 60% to 0%

Size Matters
By far, the best feature of the Zhiyun Cinepeer CX 100 light is it size. It easily fits in your open hand and weighs about 1.5 pounds, but it's a 100 watt COB video/photography light. It's made mostly of plastic (hence the light weight) and has 3 controls--an on/off button, with a short hold/long hold feature that keeps the light from accidentally turning on in your bag, a brightness dial and a color temperature dial. It also comes with a reflector and diffusion dome. It's fan cooled, but the fan is all but silent, so perfect for video. The light is as bright as any other 100 watt COB light that I own. For on-the-run lighting, tossing this into your camera bag is a no-brainer and could easily save the day when a little more light makes the difference between a good shot and a great shot. All that said, there are downsides. First, it has an internal battery, so there's no swapping batteries to allow extended use; however, you can run it off DC power (power supply not included) or plug it in to a type-C charger to continuously recharge the battery while in use (cable is included, but charging block is not). At 100% power, the battery will last about 20 minutes. Second, it doesn't come with a Bowens mount, but you can purchase a Bowens mount adapter, which is actually quite cleaver in design, as it transfers the weight of the softbox onto the lightstand, rather than the CX100 intself. I don't have the Bowens mount adapter, but using both the included diffuser and a photography umbrella, I got very nice results. In all, this is a good piece of kit to have. In a studio setting, it's probably more practical to stick with an AC powered light with a Bowen's mount, but if you're running and gunning, this could be a lifesaver.

Big light output in a small package!
Very powerful COB LED in a very small and compact body.Packaging is great and the light feels nicely built too,Light output is smooth and clean, and the color temps look accurate.Easy to use, and adjust, the integral battery also makes is very portable!Battery life has been pretty good, especially considering the output and overall size.Bowens mount also means it's compatible with all of my existing modifiers.Noise is low, and it stays pretty cool too. This is my first compact COB and I'm very impressed! I can now carry a pro light in my smaller camera bag.

Powerful 100W LED Video light with pocket size
A "lite" version of their popular X100 video light.Pros:- As powerful as the MOLUS X100 light, 100W output power with a Built-in battery.- Very easy to use and user-friendly to carry with.- A very quiet and nearly silent cooling fan.- Two options for the power supply. (DC and USB-C)Cons:- The battery grip is not quick-swappable compared to the MOLUS X100.- Plastic body vs aluminum alloy (but it is still durable enough for me).- No Bluetooth support.- The brightness adjustment is not step-less, it jumps quickly when turning.Overall it's still a great light especially if you like the original X100, the CX100 is more budget-friendly and its powerful output is unbeatable at this time compared to the competitors.

Wow. Bright
So far so good. We'll see how well the battery holds up. But very powerful light for its size.
