I bought this remote to replace the factory remote for my Sony tv. It didn’t help with my issue because it turned out that I had a faulty sensor in the tv itself. However, after fixing that issue I still use this remote. It’s sleek, well functioning, it was easy to connect, it was inexpensive, and the buttons are hard and clicky rather than soft and difficult to press down like on the stock remote.

I purchased the "Replacement Smart Remote Sony RMF-500U with Google Search" to replace my old Sony Bravia remote which bit the dust. It seems to work about the same. The remote looks the same but for being a little thinner than the original. A pretty good bargain, all considered.

The pairing was easy. But the remote would stop working every day or two. We would take the batteries out to refresh the remote and it would work for a day or so. And repeat!

I have an older Sony Android TV from 2017, the XBR-930E, and this works perfectly with it. I do wish it was also available in the backlit style on the higher end OLED TVs, but once you learn the layout it isn’t difficult to navigate. The voice function works as the original did, press the button and say what you are searching for or you can use it to control typical Google Assistant accessories like lights, switches, etc. Overall, this is a much better buy than the OEM remotes and functions the same, so I would recommend.

Works as expected, looks just like the one that came with the Sony big screen. Having a second remote keeps us from blaming each other for losing the remote. We couldn’t get the voice Google Search button to work, the remote that came with the TV did not work for voice search either. Good value for 1/2 the price of Sony replacement

Great remote. Issue with what I recieved is that it doesn't work. I switch out the batteries every 5 minutes or rotate them just to use it. Might have been a refurbished or defective remote, I'm not sure.

We have owned Sony TVs for the last 35 years. They are renowned for their picture quality and overall excellence. And we've never had a Sony remote fail. The problem is their products only come with ONE remote. This cloned Sony remote solves the problem nicely. Almost an exact copy of the OEM Sony remote that came with the TV. Now the Mrs. and I can watch TV together and both have the TV controls at our fingertips. Pairs the same as the genuine OEM remote, just add batteries and go.

It's not the exact same remote that came with our Sony TV. It's a little shorter. But honestly I prefer this one to the original. We got this as a backup after a superbowl mishap (2 year olds hid the remotes for our TVs on superbowl sunday and we didn't realize it until moments before the game started, with guests over!) This stays hidden and we haven't had to use it very often thankfully. But it is a nice replacement and for the price, I don't feel bad about it!
