Simply Awesome!
I wish I had read this book when I first pivoted my career to data analytics last year. This thoughtful, comprehensive, and relevant road map would have saved me time, money, and heartache.Annie articulates how to actually go from zero to hero in the data industry. Hands down, the best resource I have found on the subject.Highlights include:- Breakdown of her journey and how to apply the roadmap to your own situation.- Step-by-step process that flows from acquiring and showcasing the skills necessary to executing the job-search and preparing for interviews.- Excellent tips on leveraging LinkedIn and how to properly network and connect.- Very clear and DETAILED guidance on how to create a portfolio, where to get clean and dirty data, how to level up a project, and how to present it. She even gives over a half-dozen guided project ideas and another half-dozen NON-guided project ideas so no excuses!- Excellent job search hacks! BUY THIS BOOK because there are too many and too valuable to just drop here.

Thorough and super helpful
This book very helpfully and clearly lays out the whole path to becoming a data analyst from start to finish, as well as what the job entails. In my case, I initially thought this might be a good career transition for me, so that I would be able to more flexibly and easily work from home (I already work part-time from home, but never really know when a day will be busy or not) while caring for my 3-year-old and another baby on the way. However, this book made me realize that's out of the question (especially because of the amount of time and flexibility needed for job searching). So bottom line: I'm happy that this book enabled me to quickly move on and consider alternative options.

Highly recommend for anyone who wants to pivot into data analytics!
When Annie announced her new book on LinkedIn, I immediately purchased it on Kindle. As someone who has been shifting towards data analytics for a while now, this book was like a guide for me to understand more about what hiring managers look for in interviews and day-to-day work. Annie shares a lot of great insights from her experience in data analytics. She also discusses her resume, portfolio (which is a must-have for anyone who is pivoting), and resources to learn tools like Excel, SQL, and Tableau. Once you learn how she does it, you can implement it in your own approach to learning data analytics. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in data analytics.

Just buy it already ...
I bought the kindle version, and it did not disappoint. If you are just starting your data analysis journey this book lays out many valuable resources many that are free. Even if you have learned the technical tools and are just starting out on your job search this book will not disappoint from resume to job search. Many links and visual videos to check out.

Good information
I'm really enjoying this book, but I'm not really enjoying that it is soft backed and on paper that seems like newspapers. Other than that seems to be very well written and answers some of the questions I've been wondering about.

Teaches how to maximize results on the cheap
Incredibly helpful inside look at how to learn data analytics, enough to get an entry level position in a short period of time, while not going broke or having school loans to pay off. Awesome.

An Easy Read for Anyone Who is Scared of Data
Coming from a music conservatory background, I never thought the words DATA and Analyst would be fun or interesting. This book is humorous, encouraging, and casual, but straight to the point. The author took her time to explain a simplified personal journey to achieve a goal, but the most important lesson for me personally is a mindset that evokes, "Passion for Learning."

Easy to read
I'm about 1/4 of a book, but I already feel like it's worth the money! Easy to read, answers a lot of questions in my mind like: is data analysis for me? I'm going in right direction?Recommended for people like me who just starting out.
