This is a hardy little garden box that’s worth the money. It’s made from real wood and comes with enough hardware to make it feel sturdy, as if you went to the hardware store and bought the lumber and bolts yourself.I have no concerns about it’s quality or whether it will stand the rest of time.There were a few small hiccups with my box that caused me to knock it down from 5 stars. The first was that the holes were not measured correctly on one of the corner braces so I had to re-drill the holes (picture included) myself. I bought this box for my wife’s birthday so I was up against the clock to get it assembled, otherwise I might have considered returning it rather than have a box with extra holes in it.The rest of the issues were minor but worth mentioning. The hardware included was one washer short, but if you’re like me I have hundreds of them laying around the garage, but for someone who doesn’t have a workbench I could see this being annoying. The next thing was that one of the screws that held the center metal brace rod in place was used and partially stripped. I was able to tighten it down fine, but found it odd that the seller would include used bolts that were stripped. The final quirk was that since this is real wood, there are multiple knots in the planks, one of them was about 2 inches in diameter and fell out the moment I unpacked it, not too big of a deal, I was able to glue it back in place with a little bit of wood glue. It would have been nice however if the knots in the wood are loose that they would have been caught upon inspection prior to packing and glued in place by the seller prior to shipping. Like I said not a huge deal, but I could see someone who doesn’t build things very often being frustrated and put off by a 2 inch hole in the side of their garden box.Otherwise this is a great product that I would try again when it comes time to expand our veggie garden further.

First, I have limited experience with wood, but the wood did not smell or look like other furniture I have that is made of cedar. It could be a totally different type of variety than the ones used to make indoor furniture. Since it is not used to make furniture and to keep moths aways, it is not a big deal to me. Since it is not treated, I just hope that it will last and endure the elements better than pine wood.The assembly was easy for the most part. There were some misaligned holes and so I had to interchange/rotate parts to get the best match. Other than that, it was pretty easy to assemble. There is a smoother and rougher side to the boards and so I tried to put the smoother sides on the outside. After I assembled it, I was able to lift and carry it outside and it felt sturdy as I did.I left it outside for a while with nothing in it, and one of the boards seemed to have warped a little bit but did not leave a gap so it is not a big deal to me (see picture). Overall, the quality seems to be good. So far, no rust on the nuts and bolts.

I just received this Cedar Raised Garden Bed, and so far, I am very pleased. The boards are solid and undamaged. The unit is wobble-free. I especially like the reinforced corners. This type of construction should keep the unit from falling apart. I'm grateful the wood is not treated with chemicals since I will be growing herbs in this garden bed.So far, so good. We'll see if it tolerates the outside conditions and how long the raised bed lasts.
