Feels sturdy, not sure if it is full tang, didn't come sharp. It looks really good and its nice. Just not what I was expecting from reading other reviews also has bo hi I thought it was without and the balance point is about two inches up from Suba or suka or guard not sureof you say in Japanese

over all i am quite pleased withit. is could be a little sharper and a little higher quality, the weight is good and it looks good. so over all i like it a lot

Updated review: JIHPEN sword customer service took care of this misunderstanding in a very timely manner and I couldn't ask for better service. I highly recommend their company and I myself will do business with them again the next time I purchase a similar product. I ordered the 22" Tanto. The Measurements that are in the description says the blade length is 22", but the overall length of the tanto with it still in the sheath and including the handle measures only 20 3/4" long.

This is a solid short sword! High quality materials for sure. Good strong grip and nice sleek look. It’s extremely sharp! This would make a for a fun toy or as display. I plan on pairing with a similar longer sword and displaying together on the wall. Very cool!

This sword is awesome quality for the price, it's razor sharp, even though I'm not a fan of black blades this one really works with the design.

I am collector of cool swords. I have Cloudhammer katanas, very expensive stuff, like over 1000 CAD each. This tanto was supposed to be a "beater" tanto. Read all the reviews and still didn't think much and just ordered one since it was so well priced. Now, for all blade aficionados out there, Jihpen beats almost all of my expensive swords in terms of quality of workmanship, focus on details, zero scratches, no imperfections, tight fittings, pristine blade, tight fitting into tsuka, no rattle, etc. Now, before the word goes out and prices increase, I will order a wakizashi and katana from this noble seller. If you want powerful cutter, or wall pride, Jihpen swords will make you smile, and make you look cool with your friends, partners, etc... I guarantee you, you will never regret for this purchase (says the guy who is so finicky on blades)...

ich habe den verkäufer -JIHPEN sword- gefragt, ob die klingen ihrer 4 produkte aus edelstahl oder karbonstahl bestehen... die antwort (kam erfreulicherweise in minuten): bei allen 4 varianten besteht die klinge aus KARBONSTAHL (carbon steel) sehr schön...!!! die varianten zum jetzigen zeitpunkt: - 55cm schwarz - 78cm schwarz - 104cm schwarz - 104cm weiss die klinge meiner 55cm-variante kam eingeölt und in folie geschlagen an und ist auch sehr stark magnetisch, was natürlich ein indiz für die richtigkeit der antwort des verkäufers ist... zum "tanto" (was eigentlich ein Ko-Wakizashi ist, tanto verkauft sich wahrscheinlich besser): hervorragende qualität muss ich gestehen... ich habe alles erwartet und war dennoch äußerst positiv überrascht... die maße stimmen auch alle... - klinge: 33cm lang (30,5 ohne messingbeschlag) - griff: 16cm lang - gesamt: 53cm - gewicht: 575gr. ohne scheide / 695gr. mit scheide (die scheide ist komplett aus holz und außen schwarz glänzend lackiert) - der eine "bambus"-stift am griff ist zwar entfernbar, allerdings konnte ich nichts zerlegen (habe es zumindest nicht geschafft) EDIT: die klinge ist aus dem griff zu entfernen, ging nur relativ schwer, weil die toleranzen erfreulicherweise sehr klein sind... - schärfe: es ist grundsätzlich scharf, allerdings bekomme ich nur im vorderen 4tel papier mehr oder weniger gut geschnitten, aber das ist für mich vollends in ordnung - sämtliche materialien und verarbeitungen sehen für meine begriffe einwandfrei aus im großen und ganzen ist die qualität echt erste sahne für den preis, auch wenn ich explizit nur von der 55cm-variante reden kann... ich habe den verkäufer noch drum gebeten, die artikelbeschreibung zu ändern bzw anzupassen und diese worte "edelstahl / stainless steel" zu entfernen, das sie mehrfach überall stehen und nur verwirren... es ist ja schließlich auch wichtig zu wissen, aus was die klinge besteht bezüglich reinigung, pflege, lagerung und der qualität der klinge... mal schauen, ob das passiert... lustigerweise steht bei allen 4 varianten auch noch "103cm Schwert Für Sammler und Dekoration", was natürlich ebenfalls falsch ist, aber ok... ansonsten, sehr zu empfehlen...!

Company is great to work with. Looks nice but doesn't have a sharp edge. It feels like an axe. Great as a wall hanger instead of a user.

Sehr schönes Tanto und insgesamt sehr gute Qualität Ich bin mit dem Tanto insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Es macht einen hochwertigen und stabilen Eindruck, ist sauber verarbeitet und sieht in echt genauso gut aus wie auf den Bildern. Die Klinge und der Griff gefallen mir besonders gut und auch die Scheide macht einen soliden Eindruck. Das einzige kleine Manko war, dass bei der Lieferung etwas viel Öl auf der Klinge war. Das ist zwar grundsätzlich gut für den Schutz der Klinge, aber beim Auspacken war es dadurch etwas umständlich und man musste sie erst ordentlich abwischen. Abgesehen davon bin ich sehr zufrieden und würde es definitiv weiterempfehlen. Für den Preis bekommt man meiner Meinung nach ein wirklich schönes Tanto.
