Great robot, but gets stuck way too often.
Aiper needs to redesign this one! This robot was designed for above ground pools. But it's instructions say that the pool floor must be perfectly flat and smooth for the best performance. Now what above ground pool have you ever seen has a perfectly flat and smooth floor??? What with all the feet making more new bumps with every step.It does do some work, it has cleaned quite a bit and my pool floor is quite clean now with a few patches that haven't been touched. Seeing as the floor cannot be perfectly flat and smooth, there's nothing I can do to make it better. Maybe the corner on the bottom should be curved instead of corners? Or maybe it's the wheels?Either way, it cost me $200 and can't perform to it's fullest extent because of the afore mentioned design flaw. I'll still keep it as it does do work, recharges fairly fast, and is very easy to use and clean. All it needs is to not get stuck is all. Maybe have a jet on the bottom to reposition the robot?Still a good buy for the price. It beats using the manual vacuum!!!Another Update: I just took the Seagull out of my pool. Noticed small particles being released from the water releases. Maybe put a filter mesh over them as well? The Seagull cleaned alot of leaf stems out of my pool though! And I like how I can use the hook to turn it off while still submerged!Update: Aiper has gone out of their way for my satisfaction! They've sent me the Seagull Plus as well as a handheld wireless pool vacuum, both for free. They told that my suggestions would be sent in as well. So I've changed my rating to five stars. Great company!

Do not expect much! Disappointing!
The media could not be loaded. I had such high hopes for this product. A friend of ours raved about his Aiper Seagull and recommended we get a robotic vacuum for our pool. He said it’s a “miracle pool boy” and couldn’t be happier with his. He’d had it for a year and talked of how he never has to hand vac his pool anymore. He said “do not purchase any other brand than Aiper”. He’d tried others and had been disappointed. We were sold on the Aiper Scuba based on his recommendation. Our pool is quite a bit smaller than his so we felt the Scuba would be sufficient for our needs. However, we sadly have not had the same experience. The item was packaged nicely, charged as expected, and the run time was on point with the manufacturer’s claim. We used the Scuba immediately after charging. It dropped nicely and begin running immediately. The vacuum ran well despite some creases in the vinyl. It also reversed well. We noticed as it made its passes, it tended to stir up quite a bit of settlement into the water. It basically vacuums directly under it and spreads everything to the sides into the water. We figured we would possibly need to run it a second time; knowing that what was stirring would need to settle again if not filtered via our pump. When returning to retrieve the Scuba, we were disappointed with what was left on the pool floor but were already anticipated running it twice. Upon lifting it out of the pool, along with water, half of the vacuumed contents of the spilled back into the pool. We felt there had not been a lot picked up when emptying and cleaning the filter but assumed most of it poured back in when lifting it out. Next time, we would remove it quicker from the water’s surface. We ran it a second time immediately after recharging. Again, we were disappointed with the results. And again, despite removing the Scuba quicker from the surface, quite a bit of the vacuumed sediments spilled out back into the pool. After a third time with the same disappointing results, we stayed out to watch the Scuba closer as it ran. It seemed to keep almost the same track the entire time it ran. Very rarely did its track shift and, if it did, it didn’t vary the track by much. We felt this was the reasoning for much of the disappointment. The entire floor of the pool was not being cleaned by the vacuum. We tried again a fourth time, and frequently, would nudge the Scuba to get it turning in a variety of directions. After the fourth time, and being continuously disappointed with the same lack of results and content spillage back into the water, we decided that *our friend was crazy*. In seriousness, we just didn’t have a pleasant experience. While we will continue to give the product a chance to redeem itself (with little expectation), I do not recommend this particular product. Our friend is still very pleased with his Seagull so, perhaps, if in the need of a robotic pool vacuum…consider it rather than the Scuba. We are not pleased with the results of the product. From the lack of contents removed when vacuuming and the entire pool floor not being covered with the tracking turns of the Scuba…to the spillage when removing from the pool…we just cannot give the Scuba a high review. The attached video shows the constant tracking in the same basic area; while the photos show the floor AFTER the third use of the Aiper Scuba.

Disappointed - Not as good as the Seagull SE - BUT - Customer Service Made it Right!
UPDATE: Customer Service reached out and offered to switch out the Scuba for the Seagull Plus. It's worth noting that I didn't contact them, they reached out, which to me is great customer service! It was delivered last week and I have had it in the pool everyday since then and it works great! Either I got a "bad" Scuba or my pool is just better suited for the Seagull model. Aiper customer service was fast, responsive and easy to work with, thus my change to 5 stars!I have the Seagull SE, which I love, it does a great job of cleaning my pool. Bought this one on sale to have as a backup and because it is a newer model. This Scuba model does a lot of backing up and turning around, back and forth over the same area, never hit every area of the pool, did not pickup debris like the Seagull. I tried it 5 times, thinking maybe it just needed to run a few times but no - returning it and waiting for the Seagull to go on sale. Thus the 1 start review....

Great little vacuum but only lasted 60 minutes
I really like this vacuum. I unpacked everything and plugged in the unit to charge. Once the red light on the charger turned green I pushed the large button on the bottom and placed it in my pull. The thing took right off and cleaned everything in it's path. Stick, pine needles, leaves, etc.Our pool is 15x28 and if the battery works have lasted another 15 minutes the entire floor world have been vacuumed. Description states 90 minutes, I've plugged it back in and will update with my results. Update: Unit worked well again today, definitely a great buy! Ran for closer to 90 minutes than first run and returned to the pool side as described.
