Daytona Helmets Novelty Big German

I ordered an extra large because I saw a review that said they run small.. not so much, it’s a bit big large would have been better. I have to ware a hat underneath. Catches the wind a bit. Style is excellent!

Now I want to start off by say this helmet is freaking awesome. I love it and I will wear it. However in the Big Blue description it states D.O.T. Certified. This helmet is not dot certified not by a long shot. It fits great and will provide some protection; but it is NOT! DOT certified. I would not have bought it if I had known. I love it. I couldn't make my mind up between the German and this one the Big German. And i am stoked i got this one. The helmet looks much more authentic and i know its not DOT approved but this does have pretty thick padding inside and the shell is pretty hard as well. Not saying its just as good as being DOT approved but its much better than some other helmets that arent DOT approved or obviously not wearing one. If you want a safer helmet than other novelty helmets without mushroom head and to be more authentic get this one. I wear a 7 1/4 hat when my head is shaved. I bought an XL helmet because i heard they run small. With a head wrap which they provided one or something like that on my head the helmet fits snug. But im sure if i get going fast it will move without having a head wrap of some sort on. So maybe go with the exact size u should get i dont know how small the Large is but i do know this XL feels good and only has a little wiggle and thats only when i dont have a head wrap on.

I wear a XL in all the helmets I own and I own many, this one is very big on me, so order with that in mind.

Only thing I don't like is even tightened all the way it still shifts when riding higher speed
