Red Rock Gear Youth Ghillie Suit

This is great! My kids loved them. I haven’t washed them yet and I’m scared to. I told my boys to try not to get them muddy. Some of the strings are already shedding; it should probably be hand washed to keep as much of the string on as possible. My kids are almost 6 & 8. They are average height and skinny, 40 lbs and 50 lbs. The 6 year old wears size 5 slim jeans and the 8 year old wears size 7 slim jeans. I got them both the youth size 10-12 and it fits well enough. The pants have a drawstring. They have plenty of room to grow so these should last a few years if they don’t destroy them. They love them so much and it’s hilarious to watch them sneaking around the yard like little weirdos. Excellent customer service and a great company that I highly recommend!

My 12-year old son paid for half of this and I paid the other half. He wanted to wear it for Halloween and surprise trick-or-treaters. (He only startled the big kids and adults, ha ha.) He really did look like a bush. I ordered the size 14-16 on purpose knowing it would be big on him (he's a small 12-year old), but we wanted him to be able to use it for a long time. He could wear it no problem, and my husband (5'6") also could fit in it, though it was a little tight on him with his big muscles and all. My 10-year old son was so envious that he also gave me half of the price and I bought him one too. They both really love wearing them! My older son just wore it paintballing as well. These are great! I'd buy them again. I'll attach a few pics for fun. (You'll have to try to spot my son among the bushes in the second pic)

This was purchased for my 12 y/o son to use for playing paintball. It’s legit. He’s instantly the coolest person out there, with everyone else wanting him on their team. He’s worn it about a dozen times so far, in very rough conditions, and it’s held up. Be warned that it will attract and entrap all manner of leaves and branches, but that actually helps with concealment.The top and bottom are fairly straightforward, but the “hat” part is probably the best feature. It’s built around a boonie hat with a semi-rigid brim that can be positioned how you like it, with a mesh front over the face area.It’s way better than I expected. Your kiddo will be happy. :)

My boy is 8. I bought him the smaller size and could barely wear it. Returned and got the 10-12. Fit's him with a little extra room to get a year or so out of it but he is a twig and the small just didn't fit. Good quality for price so hopefully it will hold up.

Love this! I was concerned about the fit after reading some of the reviews but it fit just right. My grandson just turned 7 but he is 56 inches tall and 102 lbs and it fit him just right. He wears a xlarge in basketball shorts and xl in tank top to give you some perspective. He has some room to grow as far as the length goes but there is elastic at the ankle so the pants don't drag. Yes there is some fluffing to do and combing through but that is to be expected. It also comes in a cool bag that my grandson thought was a sleeping bag from the way it was packaged. We love it and would definitely recommend this product. Also my son in law likes it and wants one for himself.

My boy carried his pot around all night while wearing his ghilly suit so he could get inside his pot to appear to be a bush and jump out and scare everyone. He had the best halloween ever! My only complaint is that this costume shreds quite a bit. That makes it seem low quality. Other than that, it's great!

My son is obsessed with the military and war history. He loves snipers and wanted to be one for halloween. I looked for a ghillie suit costume but costumes didn't look near as good as the real thing. I just decided to get a real one instead of a costume. My son loved it and got tons of compliments on halloween. Mostly from grown men who recognized what he was actually wearing! :) I highly recommend. just be aware that some of the strings do come off and you will probably find some of them around your house.

Update - I had to dock a star b/c the shedding is so bad. I already mentioned it, in my review. But the shedding is so bad, there are so many bald spots. Again, I don't know if it's supposed to do this, but I'm guessing not. Luckily, the legs are camo. I guess I just wasn't expecting it to look the way it does now.This suit is pretty hilarious and is just what my son wanted. But when he put it on, it started shedding immediately. He wore it around the house and chunks were coming out of it. Is it supposed to do that? He's got a lot of bald spots. I did spread it out to cover them, as best as I could. I get it's not going to be perfectly covered in every spot. I guess my main concern is how it's shedding so badly. Love the costume. Just wish it didn't shed so much. It is a heavy material. And the top part / the coat, is all velcro and is easily put on. My son is 10. Normal size. I got him the 14-16 based on reviews saying it runs small, and it actually fits him pretty well. I think he pulls the pants up a little higher than the norm. But sizing wise, it's great.
