Portable mushroom growing kit
This portable mushroom growing kit is easy to use and very fast to install. It holds moisture and allows the mushrooms to grow at a fast rate. My 13 year old son is very happy with this mushroom growing kit and it is still being used to this day.

nice clean space to raise mushroom, a little bit small
my husband wanted to try to grow some mushrooms, he hasnt grown them before so we got this sort of starter kit. it is a nice sealed environment and is good for keeping the spores inside and being able to control humidity and such. the plastic could be thicker but seems to be holding up ok for now. Probably mid range in the quality. Price was reasonable. nice little kit to get started with.

Great Success
I had great success in my mushroom growing endeavors with this pop up still air box. The thing popped up and took form decently. Large size, plenty for my needs. Also easy to clean and collapse back to store when not in use.I utilize sterilized jars to inoculate mushroom grain spawn. When they're ready to spawn to bulk substrate, I have CVG or doped sawdust bulk substrate in grow bags which I have sealed and sterilized. The process remains closed off from outside contaminants, with the high risk moment being when you take your fully inoculated spawn, and open the bag and the jar to transfer into the bag. There's always a risk that something floating in the air will ruin your whole parade. This still air box is best to clean/wipe down EVERYTHING after it's in the box, THEN and only THEN can you open the bag and jar and make your transfer, with minimal things floating about in the air surrounding your precious spawn and bulk. This gives you the BEST chance of success, short of having a laminar flow hood, which I'm not going to shell out for. This did/does the trick for me. It's a good and affordable tool to have for mushroom growers!

Roomy, stores small
This is a roomy still air box that packs away tightly and will allow you to grow mushrooms at home. The sleeves allow you to wear your own gloves while reaching into the box to keep the chamber as sterile as possible. The zippers on the chamber feel pretty sturdy, but the zipper on the storage bag began to separate the first time I put the chamber away.TIP: Multiple reviews mention that it is difficult to get the chamber back in the storage bag, but I didn’t have a problem using this technique, which is less complicated than the one on the instruction sheet: Unzip, fold flat, and grab a top corner and a bottom corner on opposite sides. Twist your hands toward each other with the goal of twisting the rectangle into a figure 8 and then a circle. Tuck as necessary and store in the bag.

Great Still Air Box For Mycology Experiments
If you are getting into mycology you will either need a laminar flow hood which is really expensive of one of these handy portable still air boxes. Back in the 90's we never had anything like this and had to build a still air box out of a clear rubbermaid bin which was very had to see into and gave you little space to work. This still air box is fantastic. It is nice and large and very easy to see through. The glove ports fit nice and tight on your wrists giving you a nice sterile environment to work in. We have done grain to grain transfers, poured petri dishes, agar work all with great success in this box. No contamination so far. I would suggest opening up the still air box out of the bag and zipping it closed and letting it sit for a day or two and the krinkles in the plastic will work themselves out making it easier to see what you are doing in the the box.

Surprisingly okay.
I mean it's not the best quality but it will get the job done. And it pops up. Not easy to fold it down, but it is doable. As to the longevity, it will probably break (the zippers are the weak point) in less than 2 months. I got the bella bora still air box and assembled it, that thing is likely to last years. Unfortunately,it's huge and doesn't pop down. You have to undo all the pvc pipes. So I decided to keep this little portable one because it can pop down a lot easier than the big permanent one by bella bora.So if you are looking for temporary, convenient size this is sufficient. given the cheapness of the zippers, it's unlikely to last. But the plastic is a good thickness. If you want long term, bella bora still box is good. I'm adding the pics of both items for reference.

Great gift!
My husband likes to grow mushrooms so I got this for him as a gift. He's excited to use it but hasn't had time to fully set it up yet. But from first appearances it's a good size. Only complaint is it is slightly flimsy, but glad to have this as an option to help lowering the chances of contamination.
