Not bad at all.
I bought this most excellent Samsonite suitcase so that I wouldn’t have to lug around a gigantic one. In this role it serves admirably. It’s lightweight, strong for its size, has nicely divided internal compartments and has a real easy locking system. It’s easy to wheel around too, as it has 4 wheels. It’s scratch resistant and if you use packing cubes you can make it work for a week on the road. I normally use one compartment for clothes, and the other for shoes, hygiene kit, belt buckles, and such. It allows me to segment clean from dirty, too. I’m a fan. You should buy one. You’ll be happy that you did.My only gripe is that it doesn’t have airplane wings, control surfaces and two engines, which is a real advantage when you’re dealing with the clown show that is the modern airport experience. It would be nice if Samsonite introduced this as a feature in the next version. This way you can just fly out of your house instead of dealing with the circus.

Strong, sturdy and thwarts theft!
I bought the large suitcase for a Trip to SE Asia. I was a bit skeptical when I received it because the frame looks plastic to me. I have other zipperless suitcases and they all have a metal frame enclosure. But I must say this survived the 15 day trip to two different countries! This suitcase is great because it is deeper than your typical hard case. I did a lot shopping on my trip and it was perfect with plenty try of room to shop my gifts back home in. I would recommend this if you are traveling overseas. I highly recommend zipperless to reduce theft of your belongings. It’s too easy to puncture a Ippwr with a ballpoint pen and access your stuff then zip it back up as if nothing happened. Trust me. Zipperless is the way to go even with a carry-on. I received a warning from Japan Aii es about thefts in the cabin from organized gangs who take long haul flights and steal items from the overhead bins when everyone is asleep. Better to be smart and safe while traveling! All of my luggage is now zipperless.

Functioned well but scratched on first trip
This piece worked perfectly for our four-country, month-long European trip. Yes, we pack light, but the design helped to keep items organized. Be forewarned, the frame lock is wonderful (no squishing or zipper tugging), but very unforgiving. The wheels were great on every flooring except for carpeting. My one major disappointment, however, is that the case got scratched--on a bus, not even on an airline belt because it was NEVER checked--on the very first trip.

No zippers to break!
Finding zipperless luggage isn’t easy. I have an old Samsonite zipperless spinner that is 7 years old and needs retirement after hundreds of trips. This new case has an ingenious internal lock system. No zippers to break! It rolls nicely on any surface and keeps my clothing dry after sitting on the tarmac in a rainstorm. A failing that zipper luggage has, In that water can seep into the bag through the zippers.I just went 8000 miles with this bag, and only see a small scuff from all the handling in the last 2 weeks. This is a huge suitcase and only weighs 11.5 pounds. It’s hard to find this type of luggage in the USA, and if you do find it, a large zipperless bag is over $400. This was a bargain at half that price, and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use from it, like I did the previous piece of zipperless luggage.

This is a perfect overhead bin size.
I love the color and the slide locks - so much better than an all around zipper that doesn't always glide smoothly. I'm glad it doesn't have external pockets or flexible sides as I know I won't be holding up the line trying to shove it in the bin. The 360 degree spin wheels are a bonus.

Convenient and Sturdy, But Could Improve
I love how it easily locks up and is ready to go—super convenient! The only downside is that it’s not waterproof, so the next step would be making them waterproof. Overall, it’s sturdy and functional. It does get scratched, but it’s still really nice.

Great luggage
I am really liking this luggage. I love not have to use a zipper. It holds a ton of stuff and opens and closes nice and easy. As heavy as I pack it, it stays closed with no problems. The handle releases and reinserts as smooth as silk and it rolls beautifully. There is no wobble when you open it up, it’s nice and firm feeling and shuts with no issues. The handles on top and sides for option of carrying are nice as well. Hoping that this will last longer than the zipper style luggage, which always seems to fail after about a year. You know, where it gets to the point that the zipper starts to separate and your things start falling out? I’d buy again. Samsonite has gained another customer.

Latching mechanism fault on my case
The media could not be loaded. The latching mechanism is supposed to stay open, then when pushed shut it latches and holds the case shut. It functions pretty much the same as a car door latch. On my copy of the case, one of the 2 latching mechanisms won't stay open, so when I push it shut it only secures one of the two latches.I can work around this by manually opening the latch while pushing the case closed, but it is really not ideal to only have one latch holding the case shut. It could result in my luggage spilling all over the place. I will be returning this version and hope the new one works properly.Overall the luggage looks good, has a ton of space, is lightweight, is very secure when closed properly, has an easy to use latch and locking system. I hope I can get a copy of this that works properly.
