Vermont Castings 3-Burner Grill Cover

One thing I appreciate about online shopping is the abundance of product info you can read via customer reviews. We needed a cover for a gas grill we got from a friend, and so we began our diligence. Many, many reviewers shared helpful details about all sorts of qualities - weight of the material; the cover's actual fit; propensity to tearing; and how well it weathered over time. I can't speak for the last quality, as we only received this yesterday, but I can report that the weight of this cover is substantial compared to some I checked out at a local hardware store. Despite its weight, i found the cover easy enough to work around the contours of the grill. Velcro straps secure the skirting at the bottom of the grill, which will prevent the hanging material from getting whipped around in winter storms. And the fit is great. In fact, one thing that appealed to us about this particular cover is its more contoured fit. It allows us to use the shelves on either side even while the cover is on the grill. Not sure yet what we might use it for, but outdoor flat surfaces usually come in pretty handy, whether setting down a garden tool, supporting a potted plant, or holding my cup of coffee while i refill the bird feeder. We'll see if it resists fading, but in all other regards we are quite happy with this item.

The cover was exactly what I was looking for. Our original cover needed to be replaced and I was very pleased with the quality and look of the cover I ordered. It is perfect and looks so much nicer than the old on.

I bought this grill cover in May 2014. While it fit well and initially looked good, it began to fade to grey very quickly - within a few months. Within one year it began to rip. At two years, it is ripped in many places and must be replaced. It is not a good product and I won't buy it again.

We bought this in May and it's already ripped and faded. Although it fit perfectly and was comparably priced I don't think I would buy it again. Too bad because it had such promise. It's really snazzy looking (or used to be).

So far, so good! It certainly looks a lot better than the old, torn, dusty, and weather-beaten one! It fits nicely and actually seems a bit roomier than the old one. We recently had our house appraised (for a reverse mortgage) and there was no need to be embarrassed by the old cover, which would have detracted from the appearance of our yard. We're pleased!

I love the cover but here is Colorado the cover fades so easily. I haven't had this cover long enough to see if it faded. Our last Vermont Casting cover hardly lasted a year and it faded right away and ripped, wasn't very sturdy. I can't really tell you yet what this one will do, hoping they made it a bit sturdier. But it fits nicely. It came really fast too and was a great price.

grill cover matched origninal and looks great. I think the material may have changed since our original purchase when we bought the grill and this one looks like it will hold up better. the last one which is outside in the weather 24/7/365 lasted 8 or 10 years.UPDATE - this covered only lasted one year - it has several rips and will have to be replaced before the summer is over this year. disappointed since the original lasted for so many years.
