Was hesitant to purchase due to all the bias free item reviews.But it's a good torch, solid quality ready to use and holds a nice flame for plumbing.

Picked this up for my mother as I accidentally knocked her blow torch off the work bench and broke it!While I'm no plumber myself, it seems easy to control and feel like good quality.It also seems to light a lot faster than the old one, so there's less gas wasted trying to light it

The Salvus “turbo” blowtorch is a quality item, feeling good in the hand and with solid controls which provide good control of the flame. Ignition is achieved by squeezing the trigger and releasing it cuts off the flame instantly meaning no wasted gas.The 360 degree swivel neck may prove useful at some point (although I haven’t really made use of this feature yet).Priced at about £40 at time of review it’s not inexpensive, but the quality of construction and operation make it worth the outlay.

A simple blow torch that doesn't waste gas. I can take MAP or Propane (only). I got a little lost understanding what was meant by 'Turn the ignition button clockwise' , in the instructions so I resorted to common sense. Other than that, I was able to get the torch set up and lit with no problems. They really stress that the gas should not be throttled in order to reduce the flame. The labels say it'll cause it to overheat. I hope it's ok at the end of the gas bottle?It's well built and will take a drop without breaking (already tested...). Great for the BBQ at the moment but will be handy for DIY plumbing too.

A nice, easy to use torch. Ignition works well and the safety catch means you don't light it when you don't mean to.Flame control is very simple with the knobs. Seems sturdy and well made.
