Great product for an iPhone!!!!!
As advertised—very easy to install and performs extremely well. For iPhone users, both the touchscreen and wireless functions work seamlessly. Android users can connect via cable, but switching between wired and wireless requires a hard reset of the entertainment system each time. Additionally, touchscreen functionality is not supported on Android, as noted in the product description. If you're an iPhone user, this is a no-brainer.

super easy and works on mazda cx5 2016
2016 mazda cx5. upgraded firmware manually, this thing works flawlessly. was able to get the old part out with thin right angle pick tool (pushing into tab slots and rotating to unsecure then pulling it out. connect cables to new unit and pop back in. estimated 30 min total on install.

junk
no stars would be more like it .... does not work, spent 1.5 hrs. doing a neat job taking my time insuring all was done properly and nothing. yes my firmware was up to date and i did get it to show android auto on screen but would not launch it (grayed out ) screen did come up saying to start aa follow instructions on phone but guess what no instructions on my phone . lets put into prospective i spent 95.00$ on aftermarket china junk plus my time instaling/uninstaling and ended up going with mazda oem hub in the end for a cost of 250.total. dont think you will save money YOU WONT. also only way for supposed coustomer support is a email address witch by the way when i sent a message would not even go through (undeliverd) NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE but hey it did look like it would work close but deffently no cigar ... god bless and good luck with this one

Love the USB C and Wired CarPlay.
Not a terrible install on a 2016 Mazda CX-5. It was pretty straightforward, and as you will find in the forums, getting the old hub out is the hardest part. The reason I picked this model it is wired CarPlay only and it has a USB-C port. Wired CarPlay was a must because my wife and I both drive the car, and we are often in the car together. Being able to pick the connected phone with just a cable is more convenient than wireless. The USB-C is just a nice plus because that means I will never worry about plugging in the cable upside down. Both USB ports provide more power than the stock USB ports, and I tested the SD card as well. Everything works! Photo is from my testing before putting everything back together.

Mazda cx9 2017
This is working pretty well. I have the wired version and have used it for carplay and android auto. Android auto touch screen doesn't work at all (expected) for carplay works when the vehicle is stopped. Will look into any mods to change that behavior but I believe it's in the Mazda firmware so probably not unless there's some custom firmware out there. My main issue so far is that I have already had two instances where carplay just disconnects randomly. Unplugging and plugging the phone back in seems to fix it.The wiring process was pretty straightforward for CX-9 2017. Was able to get it done without a wire fish. Will do a follow up review and note any changes in behaviors.

So far so good!
Installed this on a 2016 CX-5 GT, and it's working out really well so far, can use the Android Auto or the SD card Navigation, no complaints so far. Definitely keep in mind the 5 P's (proper planning prevents poor performance). ABSOLUTELY be sure to upgrade your firmware beforehand!! Also, make sure to wrap the wires in plenty of the supplied foam wrap before trying to install and run. Use the proper tools to remove the panels and the original hub, makes a world of difference. Only took me about 45mins in total, hardest part was removing the original hub without breaking the retention tabs (just in case), and there are plenty of YouTube vids on how to do that without completely dismantling your center console. Overall, pretty easy peasy if you're at all mechanically inclined, definitely worth it!

Way cheaper than buying a newer model year.
My daughter loves this in her Mazda 6. Probably took 45 minutes to run the cords, but will probably only take 20 when I do my younger daughter's car. Functions perfectly with Carplay wirelessly.
