It just works
Excellent product. The 8GB card works great in my Canon S5 IS. I get just over an hour of the best quality video or over 2,200 best quality photos! It formats (normal & low level) everytime. Best quality video records and plays back perfectly smooth. The card is plenty fast. The Micromate reader is great. It has a flashing green LED during file transfer and the protective cap fits over either the USB toungue or the card when in use. It's small and lightweight yet feels durable. True SanDisk quality.Highly recommended unless the 16GB version becomes affordable. I may buy one just for a backupdrive on my laptop.

A great speedy card
I purchased this SanDisk card along with a new Canon Digital Rebel XSi. I wanted a high capacity card since 12 megapixel RAW files take up a lot of space. I also bought an 8GB Transcend card as a backup, and I have a feeling a lot of people are looking at that card as well. Many probably wonder why this card costs so much more, and the answer is speed. The XSi is not a fast camera by dSLR standards, but I can tell a noticeable difference between the write speed of this and the Transcend card. I like to shoot in auto-exposure bracket mode for HDR photography, and this card clears the buffer quicker in case I need to shoot multiple shots. Other than that, I can't tell too much of a difference. I haven't had either card long enough to fail, so I can't comment on that. If you're willing to spend a few more bucks, I think the write speed of this card is well worth the cost.

Card works great in new camera
These cards are fine but came from a supplier I will never - ever - do business with again. The items work fine, I'm sure, but I only got half the items ordered from "Abe's of Maine."When I filed a claim the merchant wrote back calling me a liar. Too bad these cards have to be purchased through such places as Abe's - it's a very sleazy operation.

Great buy
I purchased a Nikon D60 camera and wanted a reliable, fast SD card that I didn't have to worry about. The D60 is a 10MP camera so the file sizes of the pictures are very large. This can slow down transfer speeds, plus I wanted to avoid the risk of running out of room on the card just when I needed to take a picture. This card can hold about 4,000 high res images and the transfer speed is pretty quick. There are faster cards, but for the $22 I spent on this one, it is a very good value. I shopped around and found it on most other sites for quite a bit more.

Great card but lousy reader!
My new Canon G10 uses the new SDHC cards as well as the older SD cards, so in October 2008 I purchased 2 of these cards (8 GB Ultra II SanDisk) with the readers from Amazon. The cards arrived without any readers. I purchased 2 "SanDisk Micromate Reader for SD and SDHC memory cards" from Amazon separately. When I put the cards into the readers and put the readers into my computer USB port I got a message "This is not a high speed device" and a warning that it would only transfer data at USB 1.0 speed, about 20 minutes for the 20 or so photos on the card. I also got no recognition of the reader&card in the USB ports on the front of my computer, only the ones in the back.I tried the SanDisk website, no help. I googled and learned that a computer virus could cause my Dell with all USB 2.0 ports to not recognize devices plugged in, so I scanned for viruses. None found. Google also said that drivers could be a problem so I checked the Dell site, no help. After days of problems and no successes I decided to try another brand and bought a "Blue Proton" SDHC USB2.0 reader which works perfectly! In every one of the USB ports on my Dell! The SanDisk Ultra II 8 GB cards work perfectly in my G10 but the SanDisk readers are junk and I feel stupid for spending days trying to get them to work. All my Compact Flash and SD and SDHC memory cards and all my card readers are from SanDisk and all have worked perfectly until this. I think I will try a different brand next time.

A Perfect SD card.
There isn't really much to say about an SD card. It saves and writes files to and from various sources like cameras, camcorders, laptops, Desktop PCs, etc. There isn't very much variables between them besides speed and capasity. But, the reason why I am writing this review is to say that this card has never corrupted a single file for me. That makes it a perfect SD card. You don't want one that may cause you to lose your hard work... EVER! Trust me. It stinks having to re-do things... IF you can ever re-do them. Like for instance, if you do Digital Photography like I do and you lose a shot due to a corrupted file, it's very likely gone for good. I know I won't have to worry about this card doing that.

works great with my Nikon
SanDisk Ultra II 8GB SDHC CardI am using this with my 12mp Nikon D90. I have a SDHC card reader, but I just plug in my camera to the computer to transfer images. The D90 doesn't tell the exact number of images it holds, with large, fine quality jpgs it says 1.1k, so around 1100 images. With raw files it says 538. Raw plus large, fine Jpgs, 361 images. To write this review I followed the link from the item in my Amazon order history, so I know this is the item I ordered. It did not come with a card reader like the photo shows and some of the reviews mention. Sometimes Amazon puts similar items reviews together, that may be why some people are talking about the card reader. I don't care about the card reader cause I already have one, but I just wanted to point out that there was no card reader with this card.
