demo on U Tube used W. & N. Iridescent medium for water colours
...using the Iridescent Medium(for water colours) to really good effect, so gave it a go.I had a few empty clean screw top(beef extract) jars. 1/Into 1,squeezed approx. 2.5cm acrylic paint , from a 75ml. tube medium shade .3/ added 1.cm. approx. length of a deeper richer different colour from a small tube.4/added to 90ml. of water previously put in the jar, screwed top on,shook from side to side, avoiding too many bubbles, until fully mixed, left to settle.5/shook Iridescent Med.vigorously, until off the bottom of jar(see instructions on bottle),then added 10- 20ml. approx. to each ready mixed jar of (different coloured) paint, screwed on the lid & shook gently well, as before. (The stronger the paint ratio, the more the effect, & vise versa. NOTE. this next step needs doing quickly as paint dries fast.6/poured a little of the colour mix directly onto 140 lb.water colour paper, (having previously sat it in a shallow tin, water poured over, excess water poured into sink,) for an over all colour effect.7/Recently used pipettes to apply paint mix,as less wasteful, for a 2 tone effect (using 2 or more jars)I randomly dropped colour mix on the wet paper. No need to tape paper flat at 140lb.weight. Plain kitchen roll handy for over spills .8/I moved paint by lifting a corner up sideways while wet, using a finger/pipette/brush,carefully covering any gaps, & mopped up surplus. .In a 2nd . tin, I added 2 different contrasting colours onto a 2nd. paper, for an irregular natural blend.I left to dry on a s/steel cooling cake rack ,kitchen paper beneath w.c.paper.Removed other paper & sat it next to it.Can be moved when sure it's dry.I secured the lids on jars as I stopped using them.Unique backing/art paper .Water colours need varnish afterwards,as not colour fast, acrylics dry much quicker & colour fast.Paper takes longer to dry.Delighted with this product, despite the price.Job done! Please note,'Iridescent Medium for Acrylic', is NOT suitable for diluting in this way.I am a bit dyslexic so please excuse, any odd errors.Linda

Iridescent Medium
To be fair I have not used this the way it is meant. I have used it in gouache for calligraphy and the results were not visible. There is a lovely shine to the bottle so will try it when painting.

highly recommended
Rather than buying separate bottles of pearlescent inks I thought I would give this a try. It does the job beautifully so I can mix up my own pearl colours as necessary. Great item - would recommend.

Excellent metallic!
For some reason, Amazon has put mask reviews on this product. I use this product to not have to purchase so much metallic watercolor, and to be able to achieve the metallic color I want. I simply mix a small but fairly thick puddle of the color I want, then add in a drop or two or this medium. It adds a shiny character to it, and I use it to border all my greeting cards. This way, I can specialize…paint a metallic border for the specific colors in my cards. It is wonderful.

Really beautiful
I purchased this to enhance fairy wings, butterfly wings, bees, clouds, etc in adult coloring books. Works perfectly!! Product is easy to use and adds such a nice glow to the page. It is water soluble so no damage to brushes or clothes.

using it for DIY "Wink of Stella"
If you want to DIY your own version of "Wink of Stella"This almost has the same effect. (I mean the glitter effect)It all depends on the amount of water you add and the colour you put together.

It's Like Butterfly Wing Dust!
The media could not be loaded. I am so glad that I took a chance on adding this in with my watercolors! The way the irredescence shines through the color is fantastic, and the way that it blends and smoothly flows through pigment makes for excellent blooms. A little bit goes a long way!I originally got this for space and galaxy painting, but have been finding myself adding it to every piece from large, roving spirals of sparkle to fine details. All in all, it is absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend!(ps—Added a quick video because I didn't realize that it would be so difficult to photograph the shiny!)
