This thing feels really solid and sturdy. With it being rubberized you can really keep a firm grip on it without it slipping out of your hand. It charged my phone pretty quick and still had plenty of charging power leftover. I feel that this charger will last me for years to come. The compass that comes with it is small and probably useful for basic hiking but hey, I didn't buy it for the compass so the fact that they include it is just an extra little feature. The tether strap that comes with it is small but effective. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I will definitely buy another one and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good, solid charger that can take a little of a beating.

The media could not be loaded.  The charger has a great form factor and truly lives up to its "Armor" moniker. It both charges devices and takes a charge very quickly, and the compass and carabiner, combined with its light weight make it an ideal choice for people going out for a hike or fishing trip or even wandering about town. Definitely one of the most durable chargers out there and a much more practical travel option than some bulkier chargers.Addendum to the attached video: I did end up dropping the charger into some water not too long after concluding the video and the Armor took the shock well and was unaffected by the water.

Very happy at first for how quick it charges and would have given 5 stars, but I'm very upset at that there's a hurricane coming and the flashlight doesn't work and I know how to use it because it worked before. I've had it not even 6 months. This is a huge reason for the purchase. I hope jackery responds and sends out a replacement because it's vital to have any additional lighting during possible power outages. Update: I was never contacted by Jackery about my defective product and have lowered it to a one star because there product is total garbage. Not only did the flashlight go out now the unit itself will no longer charge. What a total waste of money do not buy!! Go with Anker that's the other one I have and it's a beast!! I have used it over a hundred times already and it has not shown any sort of wear/decrease in functionality. It shows a lot about a company when they will not even contact a customer who has a public review of a defective product.

I used this portable charger recently on a trip and found it worked well, especially nice at the airport where AC outlets or USB chargers are limited. I like that it is ruggedized and water proof, making it a tool that can be used anywhere, any time.

The first step is to charge the Armor up. You do this with the included cord (which is a standard micro USB cord). When testing it out it can give you over 3 full charges on your mobile phone. What if it starts raining? That is no problem as the Jackery Armor is also waterproof! Something that happens more frequently than water is people dropping things and the Jackery Armor was built to withstand a drop.As the Jackery claims to be shockproof I had to put it to the test in an extreme way, I had to hit it with my truck! You can watch the video below, but I literally ran over this with my Dodge Ram and checked it afterwards for both damaged and functionality. I fully thought it would keep working, which it did. What really surprised me was that it didn't have any damage. There was some dirt and scuffs that came off when I wiped it down. Further it went right back to work charging a cell phone soon after being hit by a truck. The waterproof door protecting the cable jacks is very difficult to open, and the jacks are positioned so it is difficult to plug and unplug the charging cable without pulling on the actual cable instead of the protective collar. But, the device works well, is compact, and travels nicely in my camera bag.
