A Photographic History of Earlham
This book provides a good photographic history of Earlham College. In chapter 2 the book provides photos of many of the buildings on campus. These are from the past and present. Chapter 4 provides pictures and info about Earlham's presidents. Chapter 5 shows photos of some of Earlham's influential and popular professors from various decades. This includes D. Elton Trueblood. Chapter 7 shows some of the guest speakers to appear at Earlham. Joseph Cannon appeared at Earlham in 1913. This was after he served as Speaker of the U.S. House. In 1939, Herbert Hoover came to Earlham to receive an honorary doctorate. John F. Kennedy came to the campus in 1960, as he was campaigning for President. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke at Earlham in 1959. There is a nice, close up shot of King with Elton Trueblood. And of course this book shows numerous Earlham students from various decades.
