Prepac Dresser for Bedroom, Chest 6 Drawers, 18.5" D x 23.75" W x 51.5" H, Rustic White

So, I just finished assembling this dresser and wanted to write a review while the experience is still fresh in my mind. Before going further, let me say that I have assembled many different types of this "you-do-it" furniture over the years (and have the extensive and colorful vocabulary of curse words to prove it), so I feel qualified to give a review. First, this baby is HEAVY. The UPS man trotted it up to my doorstep on his shoulder and sat it down like it was a sack of potatoes, but I couldn't move it off the porch. Once hubby arrived home, we got the box inside (he had to use a dolly, I don't know what they feed those UPS guys!). The parts were very well packaged and all the pieces were there, which was exciting. No serious damage. A slight scuff mark on one of the sides, but since it was going in my closet, I didn't particularly care. Once I began to assemble the dresser, I was pleasantly surprised. (Yes, I assemble, my husband totes. This is why my marriage has lasted over 30 years). The pieces are really solid for this type of furniture. Also, the manufacturer went to some considerable trouble with the directions. They are actually very clear (rather than being written in a dead language that no one has spoken for a couple thousand years), and have many helpful diagrams. They even color coded some of the parts for those of us who have trouble programming a DVR. (Note: you do actually need to READ the directions and follow them even though we all know that real men don't need directions. And no skipping ahead!). I was one of the lucky ones this time and all of my pre-drilled holes aligned and joints fit. Even so, it took me about 2 hours to assemble because the manufacturer put some thought into this thing and made it sturdy. Once complete, I'm really pretty happy with it. Now, something that I don't particularly like. There's no bottom on the dresser. It's open to the floor. Also, the back doesn't go all the way to the floor. This is probably not an issue if it's going in your bedroom or your closet, but if you intend to put it somewhere for storage, you may want to attach some plastic to the bottom/back of the dresser so you don't have little creepy crawlies make themselves at home in your drawers. Is there a gap between the dresser top and the top drawer? Yes. But it's only about 1/4" and I haven't seen one of these ready-to-assemble pieces that doesn't have gaps somewhere. The drawers fit surprisingly snug, however. I also am not crazy about having the cams on the inside of the drawer where my clothes will go, but that's not a show stopper. They don't stick out so that they're likely to snag on my clothes and I'll probably forget they're there by next week. It would be nice if the manufacturer had included some of those little plastic covers that snap over the cams. Overall though, I'm impressed with the quality and I feel it is worth the price I paid. I would recommend this piece to others who are looking for something similar. (Hint: when assembling, the drawer bottoms sometimes have difficulty sliding into the groove on the drawer front. If you loosen the cams on one side of the drawer, you can slide the bottom into the groove and re-tighten the cams. Worked every time!)

Great product. Looks exactly like the picture. It was actually bigger than i expected it to be. Only thing I didn’t like, was that the boards weren’t labeled.

Good solid dresser. The drawer bottoms have nails in back and a screw in front. Could be stronger by having a groove in front and back to fit in place. The top was scratched. Not sure if i did that or came that way. It's in the closet so not a big deal. They used spray foam to pack it in safely. Worked. But one of the drawers had spray foam or something on the front. It was missing 24 #8 1 & 1/2 inch screws. Looked everywhere. Even with a magnet. Used my own 24 screws. And there were 11 extra black twister dowels and 5 extra drawer slide screws. Bummed about the missing screws (took a star off) but solid dresser, fairly simple to put together, packed well, looks good. Oh, I added some OctinPris polished chrome knobs i bought off amazon for $12. To me, makes the dresser look better. Pictured both with original black and chrome knobs.

First, when I was missing one of the drawer fasteners, I went to the manufacturers website and was gratified that they were set up to replace missing parts online. Because it is a Canadian company, it took over a week to arrive in the mail.Second, for the money, this is a very sturdy piece of furniture. Northing fancy, very utilitarian, but an excellent value for the money. The drawers are smooth.It needs the be anchored to the wall ( because it is not heavy) but the hardware is included.

I don't know if I just got super unlucky or what, but I received a unit with many problems. First, the top panel of the chest is only surfaced on three edges (understandable since the fourth is usually against the wall so there's no point surfacing it, though the 180+ price might speak otherwise for some people). Mine came with the surface material applied to the edge facing the wall! There's no way to flip it because the mounting holes don't align when I tried to turn it around. Ended up drilling holes myself to mount it properly. But issues don't end here. Several of the drawer front panels came with scratched surfaces. They did provide a black marker so supposedly you can fix the scratches, but it doesn't even match the original color (see picture 1) and definitely doesn't excuse all the scratched surfaces that came right out of the box. The worst is that it was missing two drawer knobs! Just how did they manage to put two less knobs in the package?!I have tried to contact their customer support to no avail. Three emails left without response and a phone call where an automated voice told me "all of our customer support agents are currently busy" after leaving me on the line for a long wait. All of these reflect really badly on their manufacturing process, quality control, packaging, and customer support. My experience might have been an anomoly but I really encourage buyers to look elsewhere because I'm certain you do not want to risk having to deal with all this after spending the money on it.With that said, the chest does feel ok sturdy and was not difficult to put together, and the rails are smooth.Update: 2 weeks later I finally received the replacement parts. However, they didn't send me the two missing knobs that I requested and the new top panel has the same issue with the holes not aligning. It's either the holes are drilled incorrectly or the surface material is applied to the wrong edge of the board.They need to double check their production process.

I recently purchased this 3-drawer chest for my bedroom, and I couldn't be happier with it! The design is sleek and modern, complementing my decor perfectly. The drawers glide smoothly, making it easy to access my clothes and accessories. Assembly was a breeze, taking me less than an hour to put together. The quality is impressive for the price point, and the ample storage space is exactly what I needed. Highly recommend!

Easy to assemble but flimsy in construction. Adequate for the purpose.

The 2x big side panels were cracked upon opening the box and it was a nuisance having to deal with a return for such a heavy item. I recommend you don't purchase this item and dish out a bit more money to get better quality dresser elsewhere.

solid construction is great. we were missing a part and called the customer service number in the instructions. they were very helpful and it arrived quickly.i love the dresser and i was impressed by the help line service.
