i like the color and sturdiness, but the folded crease at bottom of folders come apart upon opening.

Very disappointing.We are in the midst of organizing old household files. Everything from taxes, expenditures, medical records, etc. Understand that we are a very organized household; we document, and keep records for decades.I saw this product offering and it sounded like just the right product for our needs. “Reinforced Straight Cut Tab, Heavy Duty 2’’ Expansion Pocket”, that can be used to “Easily stuff large and bulky files, medical charts, product manuals and more”So they arrived yesterday and I opened the package and took out one of the green pocket files. (I prefer this style to open folders, as odd sized papers, photos, etc. are more secure.) Handing it to my wife, she took a couple of pages from an existing folder and tried to place them in the new pocket.They didn’t fit, with the top edge of the letters sticking up. On examination, I see the bottom of these file pockets have a fairly high V- fold sticking upward from the bottom (understandable, because they expand to two inches).“Not a problem” I remarked, “you have to press this bottom crease down”. And with that I inserted my hand and gently pressed the crease to flatten the bottom.To my surprise, the bottom right corner immediately ripped open! There is NO reinforcement there, whatsoever. As a matter of fact both lower sides are open, with just a single layer of rather poor quality, light-weight card stock. I couldn’t believe how really flimsy the paper was.Very disappointing and for any kind of archive filing these are simply too poorly made, and from my decades of document experience would be rather worthless. I’d have to spend a lot of time and adhesive tape to maintain any file integrity.Not as advertised and the product description, in my opinion, is misleading.The advertising description indicates these would be durable (“reinforced”) and that you can “stuff large and bulky files”... not at all true, as they ripped much too easily. For my intended use, these were a total waste of time and money!

I love these file folders and much prefer them to the standard filing envelopes. Having a fully enclosed folder allows for the organization of more than just a few pieces of paper. Rather, I am able to organize papers and artifacts all in one file folder quite easily. Also, these stand up independently in my filing cabinet. So I don't need to have file frames in the drawers. It makes everything easier and more organized for my purposes. They are sturdy enough to handle everything I am throwing into them. And They have a nice heavy tab to write on for identifying the contents. They are super!

The folders tore, every time I opened one. They were not heavyweight. Very disappointed!

These are very good quality expanding file folders. What I like about this design is that they stay generally flat until you need to expand them. As such, they don't take up a lot of space until you fill them up with paperwork or whatever you are holding in them.Good quality, should do fine storing papers with medium usage. If you are a heavy duty folder user, you should get the fabric reinforced kind that cost a LOT more money. For everyday storage and use, these are great.
