Panasonic Hands-Free Headset

Looking for a replacement for a Plantronics M175 headset, which is no longer sold for home phones, I found this Panasonic headset. As I use Panasonic DECT phones and the reviews by many others were positive I was hopeful this would be similar to the Plantronics headset.I have been using this headset now for almost a week and generally it is as good or slightly better than the M175 it replaced. The foldout headband is of good quality, firm but not too tight. I personally find the earpiece does not sit as well on my ear as the Plantronics one used to, but it is still comfortable. The sound quality is slightly louder to my hearing than the M175 and people I speak to regularly tell me that they can't tell the difference between this headset and the M175.Update - after 3 months.After initially feeling this was a good alternative to the Plantronics M175, I have now relegated this headset to spare status. Over the weeks I have used it, the way the headset wriggled loose when in use for more than just a few minutes, became too annoying for me - it regularly slipped off completely! The boom mic also became a regular problem, as it did not work well if moved more than 2-3 cm (1 inch) from my mouth, which meant that sipping from a drink during longer conversations interrupted the conversation. The mic either catches on the cup or glass, making a loud noise for the person on the other end, or if moved away they could no longer hear me. I have ordered a similar headset by another manufacturer and if it works well will return to name it here.

Bought for my mum who has daily conversations with family usually lasting over an hour. She loves it as she can keep doing whatever she's doing and chat comfortably too. Simply plugs in to handset and is ready to go. Sound quality and mic. seem absolutely fine for normal use. (been using for approx six months with no issues or faults)

Works perfectly . I am hearing impaired with osteo arthritis .The incoming piece on maximum , the talk unit still worksperfectly and clearly , a fault a few reviewers stated . Usedfor two hour relaxing natter , with hands and ears comfortableas experienced by my caller .

Just as good if not better than the rather more expensive one it replaced. It would be 5 star if the mute button toggled rather than needing to be held manually. Very comfortable to wear. Mic is a little quiet but still perfectly usable.

Just started using this but first impressions are good, makes a change to hear what is being said rather than what I think is being said. Seems to be a comfortable fit. Comments about holding down mute button seem petty.

Good headset for out panasonic phone. We didn't have much background noise but the volume that comes out is loud enough so if it were louder then we shouldn't have had any problems. We tested the sound as a caller and it all sounded good.

Overall good product. Although sometimes the other person on the line claims that I sound as "from the bunker".Probably the mic is pretty weak

Packaging and build quality very good, comfortable to wear, good volume. Mute button on the cord needs to constantly held down to keep on mute, however the handset should have a mute so no issues. Great for working from a home office.
